Weeks, almost months, went by. People were still talking about how a mysterious man in a dark jacket, and a hood over his face, had saved them. There was a rebellion rising, and people were starting to take charge in this place. The assassin's symbol was spray painted on almost every building. "The Templars, and Fallout Project are gonna be pissed, aren't they?" NM joked. I nodded.

"Seems like our recent actions are gonna be the death of them." Illinois added.  Illinois was on the couch, working on an assassin's hood to attach to his suit. He had been interested in the stories I told about the assassins. He learned what the assassins were about in a few short weeks, and he wanted to truly be one. I didn't know how, but he became one. So now, like I said, he was on the couch, working on a new helmet. It was like an assassin's hood, but more robotic looking. "In due time, they're gonna crawl out of their holes, and we'll be there." He finished working on the hood, and attached it to his suit.

"We've been doing well, laying low. But with this rebellion, it'll either be easier, or harder. The people who are actually in the resistance have armed themselves. Others are just getting the word out." NM nodded as I stated the fact. Out of all of us, I felt like I had to watch him closely. He was always jotting the things I've said on paper. He would always be on his wrist communicator, and it made me feel uneasy. NM was up to something, and I was gonna find out what it was.

Night fell, and we were making our usual runs. They became a habit, since we've been at this for a couple of weeks now. NM was on the rooftops, making sure Templars weren't around. Illinois was checking all the secluded areas, like warehouses, alleyways, and places like that. I was out on the streets, pushing past people, as I took down Templars with my new poisoned blades. Illinois managed to inject my blade with poison, so my assassinations wouldn't be completely bloody.

"Kyle, watch out. I got three Templars, all heavy, in your area." NM spoke into his comm, but I heard him through the small headset I hid under my hood. I saw the three Templars coming, and I sent a smoke bomb to the ground. As I walked away from it, The three Templars got a face full of smoke. As the smoke spread out, I snuck in, and killed them. I moved away before anyone could see me. I looked around the people all around me. When I first saw these people, they looked normal, and scared when I first attacked. Now, most people had their hoods up, and had the assassin logo somewhere on their person. Funny how I somehow managed to start a revolution. A rebellion, and it was rising straight from the ground.

"Kyle, more Templars are coming!" I turned, and saw the gathering Templars. Before I could bolt, the people wearing their hood would notice them, and started to pick a fight with them. Templars were getting the hell beat out of them by people with little to no fighting experience. "The assassins will strike!" I heard people shout, and I watched as the Templars were beaten down. NM, Illinois, and I chuckled. "Well, looks like this rebellion is going well."

I heard screaming from the rooftops, and saw a woman, and her child being surrounded by cops. Typical. The moment a rebellion rises, everyone gets victimized. I ran past the people around me, and climbed up the wall. When everyone saw me, they cheered me on. A couple of weeks ago, and they would've been telling the cops to shoot me. I got up to the rooftop, and saw the cops pulling the kid away from his mother. The woman had an assassin logo on her purse, so the cops thought she was part of the rebellion, probably. One cop held the kid back, as another held a gun to the woman. I was reminded about that dreaded night on a rooftop, like this one. Before the cop could shoot, I knocked him onto the ground below him. He dropped his gun, and I threw it right off the rooftop. There was a helicopter right above me. The two cops pulled out their holstered guns, and the helicopter shined a light onto me. The kid ran to his mom, and they embraced each other. I looked at them, and turned my attention to the cops. They aimed at the kid and his mother, but I put myself in between their  crossfire. "If this what the cops have come to?! Shooting an innocent kid, and his mother?!"

The woman from so long ago dropped down from the helicopter. She had her gun out, and I was ready for a fight. I saw NM and Illinois ready to fight, but the woman made the cops lower their guns. "Kid, after all this time, you'd think I'd want your head." She holstered her gun, and walked over to me. "I thought you were a terrorist, but now I see... well, you're not." I looked at the kid, and his mother. I kneeled down, and looked at the kid. "Take your mom, and get out of here. Don't worry, they won't hurt you." The kid looked at me. He reminded me of myself. Young, and afraid. I always had two necklaces on me. One that A gave me at the Bureau, and the one my sister gave me at around his age. I took off the necklace, and put it over the kid. "Keep this necklace. It means something, and you'll understand later." As I saw the woman, and the kid leave, I turned my attention back to the cop.

"Listen, kid. I don't know what you do, or why you do it, but now I see why." The other cops were gone now, and the chopper was as well. It was just us on the roof. "You know, I had a daughter, like you. She wanted to help people, but not like us cops. She believed the people I arrested didn't deserve a second chance." I took a closer look at the cop. Her hair was curly, and brown. It was just above her shoulders. "My daughter was a real fighter. And I expect she was the one who brought you into all this." I looked at the woman, nearly wide-eyed.

"Are you...?" The cop could nod. "The first time I saw you, and you were wearing this, I knew what you were. I don't know what the assassins do, but try to keep it out of the cops' hands." She turned to look at me. "I'll do what I can to keep the heat off of you, and your friends. After all, it's the least I could do to honor her memory." She would fold her shirt at the collar, and revealed the hidden assassin logo. "I wasn't sure if you were looking into the Fallout Project, or not. I managed to get some information about them, and let me just say, they're nothing you'd think they'd be." We saw cops coming, and she shot in the air. "Go, now." I would nod, and I took off to meet up with Illinois, and NM.

As I met them, they would look at me. "Who was that?" NM asked me. I shook my head, and did my best to hide the tears that were barely forming at my eyes. "And old friend's family. And I'll leave it at that. Come on, let's go, before they catch us."

"When have they ever caught us?" Illinois joked, and I laughed. We took off toward the house, and kept to the shadows. I did what research I could, and got files on the Fallout Project. "Our next target: The Fallout Project. You two came from there, so you two should know more than me." I put the file on the table in front of me. "They're working with the Templars, and we have to find out why." Illinois would nod.

"It's gonna be hard sneaking in. They've bumped up security since NM and I left." He pulled out a map of the place. "If they haven't changed the layout, there should be an air vent right there, big enough for all of us to crawl through." NM would nod, and started typing into his wrist comm again. "From what I've heard, more agents are leaving, so new ones have taken their place. They should be easy to take out, if that's the case." I nodded myself, and closed the map. "It's settled then. Two days time, we infiltrate, and put an end to the Fallout Project." I held out a fist, and the other two joined mine.

Agent Illinois

The next day, we were preparing to infiltrate our old base. NM was off doing whatever, and I was training. Kyle had quite a night the previous day, so he was in the backyard, keeping to himself. "Hey, Illinois. Check it out. Kyle's stunt last night is on the news." I turned on the now bigger TV, and changed to the right station.

"And in other news, the one that started the idea of a rebellion for New York, a supposed 'assassin,' whose name we have not caught, was spotted last night, protecting a mother and her child. The supposed 'assassim' and 'terrorist' has been seen, as of late, freeing captured civilians, and saving people from evil hands. Ou--" I turned off the TV, and chuckled.

"I thought his job was to stay hidden." NM laughed, and then sighed.

"Are we really going back there?" He asked me. I nodded, and patted his shoulder. "Sorry man, but we have to." He nodded, agreeing with me, but I know he didn't want to.

"Imagine what Mom would say, if she saw us now..." We both looked down, now, and felt depression creep in. "It's best we don't think about it, though." He added, and looked at my new helmet. "So, you thinking about joining them officially, when all this is done?" I nodded. The assassins seemed like the kind of people who might be able to help me. Well, Illinois, in just a day--" I stopped him right there. "The name's not longer Illinois." I put the new assassin helmet over my head, and let it form around my head. I looked at NM, and chuckled in the helmet. "It's Bullet."
