I was 7 blocks away from where those cops were. I stopped on a rooftop to rest. I was running nonstop, and I using this new zip line to get out of there. This thing was amazing. I could feel the wind blow in my hood as I moved through the sky with this thing. I pulled my hood off, and laid down. "What am I doing?" I half expected Derrek to come out of nowhere and asked me the question again. He was dead, so that was impossible. My stomach growled louder than before. I still didn't get anything to eat, and I checked how much money I had. 6 dollars. I got down from the rooftops, and got my self a hot dog from one of those mobile things. I looked at how much money I had left again, I almost had none left.

I hooked the zip line to my strap on my jacket, and kept moving. Things felt wrong to me, as if someone was watching me. I heard people scream as someone behind my was shot. I looked, and saw a sniper. It had to be a Templar, because he didn't have any type of armor. I ran to the building, and started climbing to the rooftop. When I got there, however, a Templar smacked my head to the ground, and they surrounded me. "You just couldn't run away, and make this interesting. It's too boring when you assassins come to us to fight." I recognized that voice, and looked up. "YOU!" I struggled to get free, and looked at the man. the killers of my brother and sister. Nick. the former assassin mentor. "Ah, you remembered me. I'm touched. So, how's it hanging Kyle? Didn't you say you WEREN'T an assassin? Were you lying?"

"How do you--"

"I know a lot of things, Kyle. I have spies that give me the information I want. Look , I could go on all day, but the truth is, without my spies, I wouldn't have found you, you wouldn't have found that symbol, and you wouldn't be here. There's no easy way of saying this without sounding ridiculous, but I'm not the villain of this story."

"Bullshit! You killed my brother and sister for no reason, and right in front of me! When I get out of this, I'm going to kill you!"

"Go ahead, and try. Yeah, I killed your siblings, but they had to die for you to become an assassin. The war with Templars is over. It has been over for almost 3 centuries now. The assassins lost, and came to Templars for help. They became the same thing. When are you going to realize that assassins don't exist anymore?" He looked me in the eye, and I looked down. "Let him go." The Templars holding me dropped my arms, and I kneeled on the ground. "It's hard to believe, but assassins and Templars aren--"

"Enough talking, you murderous piece of crap. I know what I'm doing here, and that's to kill you. And I just did that." I pulled out my hidden blade, and Nick fell to the ground. The templars all looked at me, and I shot them all in the head. I looked at nick, and kneeled by his head. "Jōbutsu suru, May God have mercy on you, because I didn't." I stabbed him through the neck, and that was the end of that. I got up, and walked away. Templars came from nowhere, and tried to ambush me. I kicked a few away, and pulled out my dual katanas. They slashed their swords at me, and I blocked, countered, and disarmed them as they came at me.

They kept coming, so I kept fighting back. They tried ganging up on me, but I kept sending their own blades to kill each other. I put my katanas away, and shot out my hidden blades. I stabbed, slashed, and hacked at them all. They didn't stand a chance. There was one left. I grabbed his leg, and sent him into the air. I grabbed him by the face, and smashed him into the ground, and put my hidden blade to his neck, then quickly shot it through. They were all dead, and I walked away before anyone could see me. I used the zip line to get to another building, and fast. I got down to street level, and kept walking until I was lost in the crowds on the sidewalks.

I killed any Templars in my path, and I had no idea what to do. There was nothing for me to do. I exacted my vengance, so now there was no reason for me to fight anymore. I could just go home if I wanted. I heard trucks race in, and start barricading the streets. People were getting concerned and some guy in a fancy suit walked out with a few armored cops, including one I remembered from earlier.

The man with the suit took a megaphone, and began to speak. "Attention citizens! Have no fear! We, the Fallout Project, are here to keep this state safe now! There are 49 soldiers with special weapons, armor modifications, and A.I. weaponry and technology! There is a certain individual out there killing anyone in his way, and a group known as the Templars who seek total control of the world! We're here to supress both threats, and keep you people safe!" Somehow, I could tell this guy was telling complete bull.

[At the base]

Agent Illinois

After we brought in the equipment, and brought Florida and Georgia to the morgue, we all took off our helmets, and lounged around the locker room.  Agent Minnesota sat next to me. No one said a word to her, since she and Georgia had something going on. Agent NM was across lockers from us, and he sat on the bench in front of him. "Well, we're going to have to talk about this eventually, so--"

"No! We don't!" Minnesota got up, and walked out, probably to go to the training grounds. I looked at NM, and shook my head. "Smooth, NM."

"Ah, shut it Illinois. You know I don't talk to anyone, anyways." NM sighed, "I'll be in the resting chambers, if you need me. More than likely, you won't." He left, and I got up. Agents Maine, Arizona, and Texas were talking about something. I walked out, and Agent Nevada followed. "So, how are you taking all this? Georgia, and Florida and all."

"I don't know, Nevada. I honestly don't know. I didn't talk to either of them that much." Nevada nodded. "It's funny. I think the only one who talked to them were each other, and Minnesota."

"I guess. Hey, you know that the commander is making us contain the state now, right?" I nodded, and Nevada was unnasured by it. "I don't like it. Sure, I don't mind just one city, but the whole state? There's something going on. This, plus everything else the commander has made us do, it makes me wonder. Are we on the good side, or not?" Before I could answer, I found myself thinking. I had no idea myself. Were we really on the good side, after all we've done?
