You know, when we weren't out trying to protect everyone, we were resting in our base. Some of us relaxed, while others trained non-stop. I was one of those people who wished to relax on our free time. Arizona, Texas, and Nevada were the type to always train. The only difference between them were that Nevada could be nice, while Arizona and Texas were nothing but heartless bastards. NM smacked my shoulder, and I nearly jumped out of my seat.

"Relax, man. It's just me." NM looked at me, grinning with that stupid grin of his.

"Sorry, you know how easily startled I am." I ate a piece of bread, and drank the water I was given. "How'd ya sleep last night?" NM shrugged. He can't sleep well, given he has insomnia, and a bad case of ADHD. I was the only one who knew, and I wasn't going to just rat on him. He was a friend, and a good friend at that, so I didn't want to lose him. "I've been restless these past few days, so I don't really know if I went to sleep last night, or not. Has Arizona given you any crap?" I looked at him.

"Why would her give me any to begin with?" I asked him, and he laughed slightly. "What? I seriously don't know why I'd get any crap from him. Why would he give me any?"

"Remember when he helped those guys, what were their names? Templars? Well, remember when he helped them on the rooftops one time, and you threatened him by saying you'd tell the Director that he was helping one of the teams we're supposed to hunt and kill?" I nodded. "Well, he remembers, and he's out for your head now. I'd be careful not to be alone with him in the same room." I looked at Arizona, and he was sharpening a blade, not breaking eye contact with me. He was a man to be feared, but I aw past him and saw a fragile, scared boy in his eyes. I don't know what changed him, but I bet without his equipment, he'd be scared to even hold a blade, let alone sharpen one.

There was a practice run planned today. It involved Carolina, Arizona, Nevada, and myself. I sighed as I saw who I was with, and found myself with only one true ally. Nevada was blinded with dispair, and Arizona just hated me. I only had Carolina on my side. She, and NM, were probably the only two I actually trusted in this whole facility. This was my whole team, since we were Division One. We were the ones that first joined in the battle. When the run began, Arizona took off, and smashed one of the targets with his enhanced strength armor.

He broke the target, and I watched Nevada go, and slce through a number of targets with her blade enhacement armor. Carolina and I nodded at each other, and we went with our plan A. Carolina used her speed enhancement to stun the targets, and I used my gun enhancement to take them down. We worked best as group, the two of us. NM would be good as well, but we were in different Divisions.

"Illinois, watch out!" Carolina destroyed the target that was about to take me out. I gave her the hand gesture that meant, "thanks" and kept up with the others.

Kyle

I saw them... My brother, and sister, again. The day they died, and how the man who killed them looked like. My dream switched to the Den. No one suspected that an abandoned apartment building would house one of the few remaining Assassins. I rewatched it, as it burned down, and how I saw Derrek, Kayla, everyone, burn with it. I woke up screaming. I was alone on a dark rooftop. The cresent moon shined light down onto me, as if it was specifically for me. I sighed, as I was glad no one was around to hear my scream. Funny, because the first thought, that came to my mind, was whether A would've laughed, smacked me on the head, or both. Then I remembered, she wouldn't be able to do either. I couldn't move the debris off of her, and I left her to die. God, I felt so weak. I wanted to just give up, go home, and cry myself to sleep for the next few days.

I knew I couldn't do that, so I needed to stop thinking like that, and I had to go on.  The Templars were going to die by my hand, even if I died in the process. I pulled my hood off, and ran a hand through my hair. I didn't catch myself talking out loud, until I actually heard my own voice. "How am I going to take them out, by myself?"

"How, indeed. I would like to hear the answer to that." I heard a voice behind me, and I turned to look. When I saw the two men in front of me, I let my hidden blades come out.

Agent Illinois

We were finished with our prctice run, so Nevada and Arizona left. Those two were starting to get a bit close, almost too close for comfort. I shrugged off the feeling, and went to the resting chambers. I saw NM there, like always, so I took off my armor, and went to rest. I woke up after dreaming of nothing, for the third day in a row. I've been dealing with this for so long now, so this came natural to me, now. I walked around the base, like I normally did when it came to these things. I heard voices, and thought it was some weird side effect. I heard them get louder, and I realized that I wasn't the only one up. "Great analysis, doc." I whispered to myself, and walked over quietly. I heard Arizona, Texas, and someone I didn't think would be there. Nevada.

"So we all agree on the plan, right? When we get out there tomorrow, we meet up with the Templars, and kill anyone in our way." I peeked over slighty, to see the three nodding in agreement. Texas, the deep voiced mercenary, chimed in. "I don't see why we have to stay inside here. We could kill everyone here, and leave with the armor."

"You are an idiot sometimes. The Templars need the soldiers, here, to blindly obey orders, and isolate New York." Arizona said. Nevada stayed silent, like she really didn't want to be a part of this. I walked away, and went to the resting chambers. I sighed, and woke up NM. He yawned, and he talked with a tired slur. "Illinois... it's only 3 A.M. Why're you waking me up...?"

"Get your armor on. We're leaving." He looked at me confused. "Just do it. We may be in some trouble here."

"Shouldn't we wake up some of the others?" He asked me, and I sighed. "No. They'll just slow us down, or try to tip off Arizona, and Texas." NM didn't ask anymore questions after I said their names. We put our armor on, and left. I pulled off the tracking systems on the suits, and then we left. We didn't need anyone finding out about us, at least not yet.

We a\kept to the rooftops, using the jets on our suits to travel, so we wouldn't be slowed down by crowds. Then, we saw our target. The kid who cause all this trouble. We could've ended him there, and be donw with it, but we didn't. We heard him muble to himelf, and we made out his words. "How am I going to take them out, by myself?" NM took a step forward and blew our cover. "How, indeed. I would like to hear the answer to that." The kid looked at us, blades out, and NM got ready to fight as well.
