Sehun glanced at the couple cuddling on his couch. His heart clenched as Jongdae giggled and pecked Chanyeol's lips.

Tears threatened to fall from his eyes. He bit his lip, holding them back.

"Sehunnie? Are you crying?" Jongdae asked him softly.

Sehun turned his back to them. "I'm not, hyung. I'll just help Kyungsoo hyung in the kitchen."

He didn't go to his kitchen.

He went to his room and broke down instead.

"Why would I leave you, Sehunnie? I won't."

"You already did, hyung," he muttered softly.

Sehun glanced at the empty side of his bed, which he used to share with Jongdae, who had moved in with Chanyeol a few weeks ago.

"Dear pillow, sorry for all of the tears," he whispered as tears poured from his eyes.

Sehun and Jongdae had made so many memories together on his bed, and now Jongdae was leaving him in a split second for someone who hasn't been there as long as he did.

He kept the space next to him tidy, just as Jongdae had left it.

If Jongdae ever came back to him, his spot would still be there.

Day by day, I'm spending with endless tears

For the first few months, Sehun cried himself to sleep. Whenever Jongdae announced he was coming over with Chanyeol, he'd cry. Whenever Jongdae posted another picture of him and Chanyeol in the group chat together, he'd cry.

The things his friends said about them made him cry even more.

Sehun turned off his phone and placed it on the nightstand, sighing sadly.

Sehun heard a knock on the door. He opened it to see Jongdae.

Just Jongdae.

No Chanyeol.

"Hi, Sehunnie. We haven't hung out for a rather long time," Jongdae said softly.

'That's because you're always with Chanyeol, now. It's always Chanyeol this, Chanyeol that when I'm with you. Do I even exist in your life anymore?' Sehun thought bitterly.

"Come back to me," Sehun inaudibly whispered. "Come back, please."

"Did you say something?"

"Huh? No. I said, come in."

They spent the night together like they used to, joking around, not a mention of Chanyeol or relationships being thrown in.

Sehun forgot that Jongdae was taken that whole night.

Then it hurt him even more when Chanyeol came to pick Jongdae up the next morning.

The words were at the tip of his tongue. Why couldn't he say them?

Oh, he knew why. If he asked Jongdae those words, it'll hurt both him and Jongdae. Despite his strong appearance, Jongdae was fragile.

Asking him that would only hurt him.

He didn't want to be the reason Jongdae was hurt.

Sehun had so many chances to steal Jongdae's heart before Chanyeol came. But him being the coward he was, turned all of the chances away.

Jongdae used to be within an arm's reach.

But now it felt like they were oceans apart.

He thought no one had heard him.

But someone did.
