Alex:
After Lucy gave me the CD, I leave Tyrece with Angie and Ryan, assuring him that I will be completely fine. I've lived in New York for almost two years now.
He seemed pretty adamant on not letting me go alone, but I finally convince him to let me go. I wonder what's up with him. He seems pretty weird, and I've only been with him today.
I shrug off the weirdness and enter one of the empty dance rooms at the University.
I asked Lucy to make a track for me to dance to, since she's going to be a producer. I start the music, the beat taking over my body.
I don't notice anyone standing there until I go to complete a turn. I see Macy standing in the doorway.
I stop and walk over to where she is. "Hey."
"Hey."
"How'd you know I was here?"
She shrugs. "I followed the music. Are you okay?"
I nod. "Yeah. What about you. I heard that you saw Levi."
She sits on the floor next to me and sighs. "He barely said two words to me, and that was him trying to order a coffee."
I wince. "Harsh. Why do you think they're all here?"
"I'm not sure. But there's definitely something fishy going on here."
"Yeah, Tyrece seems distant," I comment.
She stands. "But whatever. It's getting late. We should go to the studio to get Janessa and Lucy."
I grab my bag and stand with her. "Lets go."
Janessa:
We walk into my class, to see Mason and Xavier grabbing their things.
Mason basically took over my class, and I didn't even have reinforcements to help me. Lucy did come though, so at least she tried.
Mason smirks. "Looks like I can teach your class better than you can."
I scoff. "You stole my class, Mason Hedger. If that's even your real name."
"It is," he states quietly.
Meanwhile, Xavier and Lucy glare at each other. He walks over and pulls her aside. I shoulder my bag and walk to the door, leaning against it. I want to leave, but I'll wait for Lucy.
Mason stands next to me and grabs my arm, pulling me out the door. "Come on."
When we get outside, I wrench my arm away from him. "Get off! I have to wait for Lucy."
He waves his hand dismissively. "She'll be fine. She's with Xavier. Let me point out the fact that you're just using Lucy as an excuse not to talk to me."
I roll my eyes. "Can you blame me?"
He looks hurt for a moment, but quickly recovers. "No, I can't. But what about you?"
"What about me?" I begin walking, and he follows, like the lost puppy he is.
"You hurt me too, Janessa."
I refrain from shivering when he says my name. He still has the same affect on me, after three years. I wish he didn't.
"Well, I wasn't the one who couldn't deal with the time difference and the fact that we were countries away."
