Macy:
I stare at Levi as he stares at me. He's silent before clearing his throat.
"One..." before Levi can finish his order, someone calls my name.
"Macy, I need you to go on restock," the manager, Ben, says. I nod and quickly head to the back, glad to get out of there. I take out my phone and message Lucy, then call Janessa. After telling them about Levi, I start to unpack some boxes the truck recently brought in and place the objects in the fridge.
Lucy:
Ive finally finished my newest track, just in time to give it to Alex so she can use. Yesterday, she asked me if I would make her a new track she can use for a dance. After two hours and a half of complete solitude, I've finished the simple track she needs. I download it onto a CD and place it in a case. Just to my luck, when I come out of the recording studio, I find Alex. I don't even notice the three other people she is with until I approach her.
"I've got it. It's all finished," I hand Alex the CD.
"Thanks, Lucy," Alex says. That's when I notice, she holding hands with Tyrece and Ryan and Angie walk along side them. What are they doing here?
"Oh, hey guys," I say. I'm so glad when my phone rings.
"He..." I cut them off before they can finish saying hey.
"Hello," I walk away from them as I answer my phone. What at they doing here. First maybe Mason, then Levi, now Tyrece and Ryan. Did the whole gang show up.
"I'm so bored. Mason showed up and now he's teaching my class, like who for he think he is?" Janessa asks.
"Wait, Mason showed up?" I whisper and look back at Tyrece, Alex, Ryan, and Angie. Ryan glances at me before going inside of the recording studio with the rest of them.
"Yeah, he's some representative for something," Janessa comments.
"Unbelievable. You know Tyrece is here. Along with Ryan and Angie," I say.
"What? Are they trying to take over New York or something. The whole gang seems to be here. Have you seen Xavier?"
"No. Doesn't surprise me anyways." I roll my eyes, though I know she can't see me.
"Oh, well, I've got to go. Talk to you later." Janessa hangs up.
Levi shouldn't be at the Sugar Bean Café anymore. I head over there. Levi is no where in sight, but so isn't Macy. I order my usual, sit at a table and play on my phone. Two hands are places on my shoulders and I almost freak out, before I realize who it is. Michael! Michael is like an older brother. He and I have gotten really close over the pass two year since we've been in the same University.
"Hey," I say as he gives me a hug and sits next to me.
"Hey," he says. "You know that music video for the dance to Touch?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, a dance company that looks for dancers for music videos contacted me asking for you guys. So, I gave them Janessa's number. Also, that video has over a million view and over seven hundred thousand likes."
"Oh my God! That's awesome!" I give him a hug.
A person clearing their throat calls my attention. I let go over Michael and see who it is. Josh and... Xavier. I glare at Xavier.
"Hey, Lucy. Long time no see," Josh says nervously. Britney walks up behind them.
"Hey, Lucy," she says in a cheery voice.
I smile at her. "Hey, Brit." Michael place his arm around me. He always does this, so this is normal for me. Though I can tell by the look Xavier gives me, that he doesn't like it. Well, maybe if you kept your promise, you wouldn't be so upset.
Before leaving Italy, Xavier promised he would keep in touch and visit when ever he can and that he would forget about me like when we were six. Yeah, that didn't happen. He never called, texted, emailed, mailed, or visited. I tried, but he never answered. Just another promise broken.
"So, how's it been going?" Josh asks.
Xavier says nothing, he just glares at me. Like he has the right to be mad. Suddenly, he just leaves.
"Just fine, I actually need to be somewhere. You coming, Michael?" I smile at him.
"Yeah," Michael says. We walk out with Michael's arm around me. Once we have left the Café, Michael steals my drink.
"Hey!" I say.
He takes a sip. "Vanilla and caramel. I like it."
"Yeah, well it's mine," I try and reach for it, but fail.
"You've got to reach for it," Michael lifts it up in the air.
"This isn't fair Michael!" I try and jump for it. Michael is 6'4". Ten inches taller than I am. Michael laughs as I try and reach for it. He finally lowers his arm and gives me the drink. We walk back to University, just as Cameron, Tyrece, Ryan, Anthony, and Levi come out. I pause.
"Ugh, how many of you guys are there," I whisper to myself. They look at me, then at Michael, then back at me. "What?"
"Nothing," Cameron says. "I just thought..."
"What are you guys even doing here?" I ask.
"It's complicated," Tyrece replies.
"Right," I roll my eyes. Janessa texts me.
Help me
"I'll see you later, Michael," I walk over to the edge of the side walk and signal for a cab. I soon arrive at where Janessa works. I get off and walk inside. I walk over to Janessa, who is standing outside one of the dance classes. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"Guess who's teaching my class?" Janessa emphasises "my".
"Mason?" I respond. That's what she said.
"And Xavier." I look inside and see Mason and Xavier instructing a hip hop class. This is where he left to. Soon enough, the class is dismissed and Janessa and I walk in.
