Lucy:
Blake barely acknowledges me, but I'm not complaining. I don't like the dude much.
I grab a banana from the fruit basket, just as he reaches for something in the fruit basket, and our hands bump.
He looks up. "Sorry, didn't see you."
I nod. "That's fine."
He smiles, a dimple forming in his right cheek. "So, what brings you here?"
I roll my eyes. I mean, he's kind of cute, with his green eyes and black hair, but he's too flirty. He's also a jerk if you don't take interest in him.
"I'm getting food." What else would I be doing in here? Honestly, he's also kind of stupid.
He nods. "Cool. And what are you doing after food?"
Nosy much? "I'm going to go choreograph a dance."
"What dance?"
I sigh and throw the banana peel out. "Look, I'm late, I need to get over there. See you later."
He frowns as I walk out. I bet he's never had someone say no before.
I walk into the same studio as yesterday to find Nessa, Macy, Alex, and the rest of the dancers in the room. Nessa and Gia, one of the other dancers, are staring each other down.
I tap on Macy's shoulder. "What's going on?"
She gestures to Gia, a pretty, black haired girl with pale skin and eyes so dark that they're almost black. "Gia and Janessa got into an argument about the dance. Again. Typical Nessa."
Alex looks at me. "You're late. And please stop this. They're going to claw each other's eyes out."
I walk over to where Janessa and Gia are arguing. I can now hear their argument.
"We shouldn't have the ball change there," Gia insists.
Nessa throws up her arms in frustration. "What's wrong with the ball change? You complain about everything! There isn't anything wrong with it. It's perfect, and leads into the next step."
"Everything is wrong with it! If you let me choreograph the dance, it wouldn't completely suck!"
I jump in then, before everyone gets involved in this argument. "Guys, stop arguing!"
They both turn to me. I continue. "Gia, I don't care if you like the dance or not, we did what we were asked and you guys are supposed to dance to it. Keep your opinions to yourself. Janessa, let's start from the top. I had an idea. We should get started."
Blake walks in then. "So you guys are my dancers?" He stops short when he sees me. "Oh, I didn't know you would be here."
The girls look at me, questioning silently why he's calling me out. I roll my eyes and point to a chair at the far side of the room.
"Sit. Macy, start the music. Blake, watch what we have so far."
And we dance.
Janessa:
When the day is finally over, I head outside alongside Lucy and Macy. Alex already left to go to another class, and then she's going bowling with Tyrece, Ryan, and Angie.
