Alex:
"I don't know everything, but I know a lot. And, I'm sorry I've kept this from you guys for like forever. It's kind of complicated, but I mean..."
"Lucy! Get to the point!" Macy yells at her.
"Right. So, there is this organization called C.D.C. where Max, Xavier, and Mason work for. They didn't tell me what C.D.C stands for, though. Anyways, apparently it's a really dangerous organization and they are trying to control the whole thing, by taking down the head of it. And we are now in danger, again," Lucy explains. She seems to be holding something back. Why won't she tell us the whole story?
"They're planning on taking down their boss? How? By killing him?" Macy asks.
"Or her. And I don't think Mason would kill someone," Nessa says. "Or Xavier."
Nice save. You don't want anyone thinking you still have feelings for Mason, Nessa.
"Yeah, but Max will," I say.
"Wait, so the guys are working for some weird dangerous organization, they are working with Max, a psychopath, and they are trying to kill their leader?" Macy questions.
"I don't know, I guess. They didn't tell me everything, as an effort to keep us safe," Lucy lies. I guess this is her way of keeping us 'safe'.
"Ugh, this is so annoying. I'm sick and tired of the guys dragging us into these situations," Nessa blurts out suddenly. She's got a point.
"You're right. Can't we just enjoy our life and not constantly have to worry if someone is going to attack us, or if we're being watched this very moment?" Macy says. Lucy looks around to make sure.
"Come on guys, we better get some sleep. Remember, we have the day free from school tomorrow for the music video," I say exiting the room.
I wake up on a beautiful Tuesday morning. Well, it was beautiful for two seconds, before I remember I'm in danger, I have to go work with a werewolf, and my boyfriend and best friend are keeping secrets from me. I get up, get dressed, and drive to the studio.
"Ooh, pretty," I hear Macy say as she holds up her hand, examining her nails.
"I know right," Lucy does the same.
"Oh, please don't tell me we have to get manicures and pedicures," I complain.
"Nope, just manicures," Lucy smiles. Ugh! Her phone rings and she answers it. "Hello?.... Oh, hi professor.... Uh-huh.... No way, are you for real?.... Awesome! When is it?.... Uh-huh, I can make it..... okay bye." Lucy hangs up her phone and smiles ear to ear.
"What is it?" Macy asks.
"So, you know that classic mixtape I made earlier in the year?" Lucy asks us. We both nod. "Well, Professor James gave it to a friend of his who was looking for fresh, yet classical, music for his music themed art gala. His friend liked it and is playing it at his gala, where he is expecting big names in the music industry to attend."
"Lucy, that's amazing!" Macy says.
"That's so cool," I smile, happy for Lucy.
"I know!" Lucy exclaims.
"Well, I'm gonna go get dressed," I say so I can leave before Lucy starts to ramble off about what dress she should where and how she should do her hair. I wake into my dressing room to see Tyrece sitting down on the chair. "Last time I checked, this is my dressing room."
"Hey, I was waiting for you. Are you okay?" Tyrece asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Just asking."
Macy:
I admire the ombre dark red into light red on my nails as soon as Alex walks away.
"Ooh, can you come with me? Please," Lucy pleads.
"I don't know. When is it?" I ask.
"Tomorrow at seven," Lucy replies. "It's after your shift. Pretty please."
I give her a look. She knows I'm not really into wearing fancy dresses and going to galas, not after the last time in Italy.
"Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top. It would mean a lot to have my bestest best friend in the whole wide world come with me," Lucy folds her hands and begs me. "Please, please, please, please.."
"You're not going to stop until I say yes, aren't you?" I ask. I know this means a lot to Lucy. This could be her big break.
"Nope. Please, please, please," Lucy continues to beg.
"Okay, okay. I'll go. Gosh, you're such a five year old."
"It's not the first time someone has told me that," Lucy smiles.
"But, you have to help me figure out what to wear."
"Yay! Make over!"
"What did you have this morning?"
"A lot of coffee," Lucy grins.
"Of course."
We continue to get ready. Janessa shows up late, though she didn't tell us why. As we go through the music video, we all pretend we don't know Blake is a werewolf. At the same time, Blake pretends nothing happened and the he never hinted at the fact that he is a werewolf. We finally finish around nine at night.
"Finally, we can change out of the shorts. Their a bit too short do my liking," I say, pulling them down in the back.
"Tell me about. I hate this choker thingy," Alex says yanking off her black choker.
"Come on, let's get changed," Nessa says.
"Yeah, so we can go back to our rooms and go to sleep," Lucy adds as she stretches her arms above her head and we all laugh.
"So, did you tell Xavier about the music thing?" I ask Lucy.
"I tried. He didn't answer his phone, so I sent him a text. He hasn't replied back, yet. He did say he was going to be busy today, though," Lucy replies.
I nod. I change back into my regular clothes and head back to the dorms.i walk into my room and see Nessa still hasn't arrived. She'll probably be arriving any minute now. I'm so tired. I lay down on my bed and pull out my phone. On my screen, I see a notification saying I've gotten a text message. I unlock my phone to view the message.
Hi -Levi
My eyes start to droop close. Maybe laying down was a bad idea. It's only going to make me fall asleep faster. I start to type in "Hey" before I fall asleep completely.
