The Shadow (Chapter 8)

Carina POV

"You'll never guess what happened."

"What ?" she asked happily

"Well, you know the boys had an interview today, right ? Well, it was kind of a talk with two girls. And they asked about Larry and well, Harry tried to explain that they love their fans but one of the girls, Sonia,  started to say that love doesn't exist and such, and well, Louis got really mad and started to shout at her terribls things and then they sang a song written by Sonia. It was so beautiful Taylor that I started to cry. It was such a sad song."

"What was it about ? The song, I mean."

"Well, it was really sad, you know.. It was about pain and suicide. But it was trully beautiful. I think you two should meat sometime, maybe you'll write something together."

"I want to meet her now. It's not fair you did and I didn't." she whined

"Oh, but it's fair that you have thousands and thousands of fans, and I don't ?"

"Oh shut up, would you ? And let's go out. We'll go to KFC so you can see that boy you have a crush on."

"I do not have a crush on him." I said blushing. "He's just cute."

"Sure you don't." she said laughing.

"Who has a crush on who ?"

Wait a second, I know that voice. But it couldn't be..

"Austin !" I screamed jumping in his arms.

"What are you doing here ?" I asked him laughing.

"You didn't miss your second best friend Carina ? I am hurt."

"Come here idiot." I said giving him a hug.

We haven't seen each other in over a week. We were both to busy, and no matter how much I care about him, my job is really important. However, that doesn't make me a bad friend. He knows I am like that be he still accepts me. That's what I love about him. He doesn't want me to change, he never asked me to.

"Did you feed my dog ? I slept at Harry's last night."

He lives next to me, and he often feeds my dog when I am not home, which is really often. Too often if you ask me.

"Of course. She does miss you, though. At Harry, huh ? Are you cheating on me, miss ?" he asked laughing.

He knows he has nothing to worry about. I would rather die than cheat, especially on him. He was so suportive when I had my bad days, he was so calm and colected when all I was doing was screaming and trashing the flat. He was there for me when no one, except Harry, was. Well, I couldn't exactly cheat on him. We weren't together, but we still joked around sometimes.

"Carina, you are doing it again."

"What ?"

"Spacing out like this. Snap out of it."

"Leave her alone, Taylor. Maybe she's tired."

"She's always tired, Austin. I told her she should stop working so much."

"Can you both stop ? I am right here, so stop speaking like I am not present. I am not tired, just a bit sleepy. I think I'll go take a nap. But if you want to hang out, Austin it's okay, I'll sleep later."

"No, no. Go it's okay. We'll go out as soon as you wake up."

"But you said we'll have a girl talk." Taylor pouted

"Quit being a child, Tay. She needs her rest."

"For the god's sake, guys ! I am adult, I can make my own decisions. I.Am.Not.A.Child." I said annoyed
