"Jada...What are you talm about?" Colin asked moving closer to me. He sat down at the bar next to me. He took my hand into his and kissed it gently. He rubbed my hand lightly.

"I could die if I have kids. I'm worried." I sniffled. Tears threatened to pour from my eyes. I really didn't wanna cry. Not while my family was here. "What if..." I paused.

"Jada, that's every women. Birth is just like that." Colin tried to assure me. It wasn't working though. I knew that regular birth was like that but for some reason, there's always some negative effect on the women in my family. Whether it's a chronic illness or worse, death.

"If it makes you feel better, let's wait a year and hold off on us having kids." Colin proposed.

"Really?" I chirped up. A smile came upon my face, turning the corners of my lips up. Colin only nodded before wiping away the single tear that managed to escape my eye. "Yes, baby girl."

I abruptly kissed Colin on his soft lips before rushing to the bathroom to clean myself up. I didn't want them to know I was crying and the game of twenty-one questions start up.

I went back into the dining room and sat down, in front of Colin, next to Kayla. SHe glared at me. "You okay?"

Nodding my head, I answered her question. "Yeah. I'm cooh."

"Y'all got any news?" Rose asked, looking between Colin and I.

I turned to face him. I hope he did because I damn sure didn't have any what so ever.

"We plan to get married in the near future." Colin suddenly said. I smiled at him and held down my laughter.

"Really?!" Kayla shrieked. "Oh my gawd! My best friend is gonna be married to an NFL star!" Kayla brought her hands to her mouth in disbelief, causing me to laugh. She was mocking me when I found out that Kayla and Jason were gonna get married.

"And you know what's gonna happen if you hurt her right?" Cody questioned in his warning tone. He and Jason exchanged looks of evil which sent shivers down my spine. Damn I hated when they got like that.

"I won't." Colin said before sending me a wink.

"You better not or I will end your football career." Jason threatened, cracking his knuckles. "Like legit end it."

I playfully rolled my eyes. "Kayla, Rose?" I called out their names causing them to look at me. "Can you help me get the food? It's probably done." I asked all the while pointing to the kitchen. They both nodded before getting up and following me to the kitchen.

I opened the oven and took out the fried chicken I left in there to keep warm. Kayla and Rose turned off the eyes on the stove before carrying the greens and mac n cheese into the room. I carried the fried chicken and Hawaiian rolls into the dining room.

Ali and Justin came dashing up the stairs from the game room with Jason and Cody high on their tails. "Kids..." Jason mutter after shaking his head. I looked toward Colin who had caught my gaze. I quickly turned away from him.

"Well don't you look pretty?" I complimented my niece Ali who had on a black and white stripe dress and black flats. I kissed her forehead causing her to giggle. "Thank you Auntie Jada."

The rest of the dinner was amazing. We talked until eight about all kinds of shit until Jason, Kayla and Cody remembered that their kids had school the next day.

"Thanks Colin for doing the dishes." I thanked him while leaning up against the countertop, dead tired.

"No problem baby." Colin kissed my lips and held my waist. "You cooked that amazing dinner so it's my job to do the dishes." He took my lips again before parting my legs with his knee. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. I looked him dead in his eyes and I could see the lust in them.

He picked me up and placed me on the marble countertop. I wrapped my legs around his torso. Colin quickly reached behind him and took off my shoes, not breaking the eye contact between us. He unzipped my zipper on the back of my dress. I blushed as he brought it over my head. I was left in my blue lace bra and panties I bought from Victoria's Secret.

"Go ahead." I whispered in his ear seductively.

"Oh bae. Trust me I was."

Long, monotone rings came from the upstairs in my office. Colin and I exchanged looks while he stood with my legs in the air and his face near my navel. He groaned before standing straight up, letting my legs drop. I smiled uneasily. "Sorry. I gotta take that. That's my work phone." I squirmed past Colin after swiping up my dress. I threw it over my head, putting on the dress and dashed up the stairs.

"Jada Ren." I answered the phone in my office. I plopped down in my chair.

"So you don't believe in hittin' up your first man? Dating Kaepernick or not."

I smiled knowing good and well who it was on the other end of the phone. I couldn't believe I was talking to him. I haven't talked to him in almost a year. The most I've heard of him is when I bought his latest album. "To what do I owe the pleasure in talking to you?"

"I'll show you better than what I can tell you. I'm gonna stop by your office tomorrow around two."

"You know appointments should be schedule ahead of time..." I smirked to myself. "Not the day before."

"Well you and I both know that I'm the exception."

It was true. He was the only exception. When were dating a year ago, I use to drop everything to be with him.

"Fine. But I don't have all the time in the world so you're gonna have to make my time worth it." I leaned back in my chair only to cross my bare legs.

"Don't I always?"

I blushed. "See you then." I hung up the phone before I could say something I knew I would regret and won't be able to look Colin in his face.

"Who was that?" Speaking of the devil.

I turned around to see Colin who looked angry. "No one." I shrugged and turned away from him. I began fidgeting with my fingers.

"Really? Why you fidgeting with yo fingers? Nervous?" Colin questioned as he walked in front of my desk. He paced from in front of me over to my phone. "So then this is no one?" He picked up my phone and began redialing. I gasped before snatching the phone and hanging it up. I stormed out of my office and into the bedroom and of course Colin followed behind me.

"Who is that?" Colin continued to question. I rolled my eyes and took off my dress. I went over to my dresser and put on Colin's dri fit long sleeve 49ers shirt and nothing else. I walked over to my vanity and took a seat. I picked up a facial wipe and removed all of my makeup. "No one." I stood up and got in the bed. "Just work."

"That didn't sound like work." Colin raised his voice a little.

"Good to know you were eavesdropping!" I shot up, out of the bed. "What the hell?!" I cursed.

"Well tell me who it is!"

"It was my ex boyfriend!"

"Why are you talking to him and who is he?"

"J. Cole..." I slurred off.
