Riley's Pov

It's been 3 months since Maya and Farkle have talked. I needed my best friends friends again. I needed Maya happy again. But don't worry I have a plan. "Hey daddy?" I asked my dad as I was leaning on my desk in his classroom waiting for him to take me home.

"Yeah?" He says back erasing his chalk board.

"Can we do a partner project and you make Maya and Farkle partners?" I pleaded, making my puppy face.

"Already on it," he turned around smiling at me. Of course he was, he alway knows what's going on in our lives and how to help.

Maya's Pov

Three months going strong not talking to Farkle.

I walk into Matthews class, sit down just in time for the bell to ring. "Good morning class," he says with enthusiasm, the class responds in a groan. "We are having a partner project."

Sarah's hand shoots up, "do we get to pick our partners?" Of course she would ask that because she always has to be with her boyfriend Farkle. I feel bad for Farkle to an extent. I don't think he sees Sarah's just using him.

"No Ms. Carpenter," Mr. Matthews says. Ha. Even though I couldn't care less about Farkle now, Sarah doesn't deserve to be happy with him. "Your partners are Riley and Maya, Sarah and Yogi, Farkle and Maya, Darby and Yindra," he drags on. Wait did he just say Farkle and Maya? My face turned red and I looked at Riley, who was already looking at me, in anger. I knew she had something to do with this. He told us what he wanted us to do but I wasn't listening, I was just staring a Farkle then at Riley then back at Farkle and out of the corner of my eye Sarah was staring me down. What does she have to worry about? She was the one Farkle chose not me.

...

Class is over and we all walk out. "I can't believe you Riley!" I shout flailing my arms.

"What?" she tried to play innocent, but we both know she's not.

"I can't believe you had your dad pair me and Farkle!" I shout, then I see Farkle and Sarah walk out of the classroom all cozy coming towards us. Riley shifts so that she's next to me not in front of me.

"I'm sorry," she leans over and whispers to me.

"So Maya," Farkle stutters, "after school, my house?"

"Uh yeah sure," I say clenching my purse that was hanging over my arm. "We should get going to our next class Riley," I try to ignore his presence as much as I can.

We get close to the stairs and I swear I hear Sarah say, "don't you dare fall for her again."

"I would never," I barely hear him say, I could feel his saddened stare and Sarah's glare.

This is not going to be good.
