First Time

Moving On

Maya's pov

"It was great working with you," I lie, "should we meet up again tomorrow?" I ask

"Maybe but I think we have a pretty good start so if you don't want to we don't have to." He says, hinting at the fact that he doesn't want to see me again. Ugh why did he have to screw everything up or did I? Did he know I liked him so he made a move? Or did he make the move to get rid of me? Whatever it was I knew now that I never want to talk to him again, unless I have to.

"Hey huckleberry" I say walking up to lucas in gym class another month later. If you were wondering how the project went it went good. We got an A, Farkle and I alway made a good team. But not anymore, we haven't talked since the project. So I guess Riley's plan didn't work.

"Hey maya, how's it going?" He asks stretching. You know he's pretty hot. I've never looked at him like this before, you know like not as a huckleberry.

"Pretty good," I answer back, "so" I hesitate. "You wanna go out?"

"Uh," I could tell he was shocked. He didn't look at me like that and I didn't look at him like that but I needed to move. And being the huckleberry he was he said,"yeah sure." I wasn't really surprised by this, he would never want to hurt me.

"Ok great," I answer back with a plastered smile. He smiles back at me. Out of the corner of my eye I can see farkle stretching against the wall with Sarah (not stretching like we are supposed to) complaining about something, as usual. But he was staring at me. I want to walk over to him and tell him he has no right to but I will spare him.

"Hey guys" riley says walking up to us with her ponytail swaying.

"Hey," lucas and I say.

"Whats up?" Riley asked cheerfully.

"Maya asked me out," lucas says. Riley's eyes widen and she gives me a look like 'don't hurt him.'

"Maya," riley sighed adjusting her seating in the bay window.

"What?" I ask, faking my defensiveness. I knew what I was doing is wrong but I have to move on.

"You know what?" She gives me a stern glare.

"No I don't sorry," I say, throwing my hands up. She just stares at me.

"Maya don't use lucas, he's a good guy." I almost cringed at this, farkle was labeled as a nice guy but he wasn't. So I'm not going into this relationship (maybe) with lucas expecting him to be a nice guy.

"I won't I promise."

"So where are you going,?" she asks with enthusiasm. That was Riley's personality, she can go from serious and stern to goofy and joking, this is how she was in that moment.

"I don't know, lucas can pick"
