Maya's pov

I was at Farkle's door, the same place I was three months before. I knock. " Come in!" he shouts. I walk into his room. It had changed a lot since the last time I was here. Before there was a full size bed, a flat screen Tv, a few couches/chairs and another room that was his closet, oh and of course his planetarium . Now there's a movie theater size tv, like 20 chairs/couches, a king size bed and the other room was his and based on the sparkly mirror it was also Sarah's closet. It changed so much but I guess it had to. The reason why Farkle's room wasn't like this before was because he didn't want to make me feel bad cause he had all this stuff and I had barely anything. "You can take a seat on the bed," he points over to the bed behind him. He was was what looks like over by his coffee table getting his books out of his bag. "So," he plops down next to me, "what do you think?"

"About what?" I asked I thought he was talking about the new look of his room but I wasn't sure.

"The project, what do you think we should focus on?"

Oh, I sigh in relief. "I don't really know, I wasn't listening," I said in a slight hurry.

"Of course you weren't," he laughs awkwardly. If you were wondering us being together was very awkward. I didn't want it to be. "So we have to..." I stopped listening, I guess I'm a terrible listener. I couldn't help myself. I could see his build body through his shirt. He seemed even more buff than before , is that even possible? Stop! Maya! Stop! I tried to listen again. "Maya?" he asked as I was staring at his body. Did I mention that we were laying on the bed not sitting. It felt so familiar like that day in the Woods yet so different.

"Uh yeah?" I say biting my lip, looking up at his face.

"Maybe we should take a break." I looked at him in confusion. I thought we already did that with you know not talking for 3 months. "The project. We should take a short break from working on the project," he says in a way that made me sure he knew what I was thinking.

"Uh yeah sure." I pull my phone out of my pocket and start to get on it.

"So, I was thinking," he said swiftly pushing my phone out of my face. I look up in sarcastic anger. "Maybe we could do something?" he asked slowly. You could tell he was about to say something else, and I knew exactly what it was, ' like old times' he was going to say. But good thing he didn't cause if he did I was going to get up and walk out.

Farkle's Pov

"Maybe we could do something?" I asked with caution. I was about to say 'like old times' but something held me back, maybe it was the look on Maya's face or the fact that I don't want things to go back to old times. I didn't really know what I was doing all knew was I wanted my friend back.

Maya's pov

"so? " I asked, not sure where this was going.

"So," he responded but his wasn't a question,

"How are things with you and Sarah?" I asked surprising him and myself.

Farkle's Pov

"Good. Good," I respond. I wasn't sure what she was asking but what I said wasn't the truth.

"Oh, that's good" Good this, good that, clearly that's all we could say. I really don't want things to be awkward but I guess they are. God Dammit Farkle why do you always have to screw things up!
