He slumps and his head falls into my chest. I stand there frozen, unsure of what to do. He is so unpredictable, one minute he's choking me and now... now I feel like he... he---

-Kylo's POV-

Nothing works. Force, intimidation, fear, even pleading. The girl will not join me. I tighten my grip on her biceps, before releasing completely and reaching for my helmet. I remove it once again for her, in hopes to reach her. I carelessly toss it onto the floor and stare up at her. Her eyes are wide, her expression puzzled. She appears uncomfortable, and I furrow my eyebrows. Displaying emotion isn't something I'm used to. My jaw hardens, "Don't be afraid." I say softly trying to reach her.

"I'm not afraid." She replies. I can sense her heart pounding.

"How can I convince you to join me?" I inquire.

She takes a long pause, obviously taken back by my question, "I-I can't..."

I relax my face and let it fall to peer at the ground. A thousand thoughts are going through my head and my emotions are raging inside me, I've no idea what I've suggested until it's come out of my mouth, "then I will take you somewhere safe." My eyes widen at my own thoughts spilling out, and I look up to find the same expression on her face. I let go of her biceps and stand up not breaking eye contact.

"Wh-what?" She mutters.

I turn to grab my helmet and before slipping it back over my head I turn to her and say, "I do not wish for you to die." Then I slip my helmet on and leave her in the room with her thoughts.

-Rey's POV-

I fall back onto the couch and am staring wide eye at the wall across the room. What the hell was that?! I've never seen him so vulnerable, it was almost like he cares about me. The idea slightly unnerves me but somehow also brings me a glimmer of hope and comfort. I try to shrug it off and begin searching the room for weapon type items that could be used to my advantage. Until the door slides open again and Kylo Ren rushes over to me swooping me off my feet and into his arms.

"Wh-what the hell?!" I squirm.

"You need to pretend that you've fainted." His grip does not let me budge.

I blush but try to hide it, "why?! What is this all about?!"

"You have to trust me." He says plainly.

"Trust you? Trust YOU?! You really expect me to trust you? After everything?" I am appalled that he would even ask me to.

"Yes." I hear a slight muse in his voice, and if I could see under his mask I'd bet he was smirking.

"No! No way!" I protest.

"Would you rather I make you pass out then?" He suggests and suddenly I stop resisting. I ponder for a moment and decide I'd prefer to be awake for whatever it is he plans on doing, just in case there is an opportunity for escape.

"Fine." I go limp in his arms and he pulls me closer, allowing my head to rest on his shoulder instead of flopping about. I can feel him stomping down the hall; his heart is beating so fast.
He's warm.

For a moment I forget that I'm being held by my enemy and just enjoy the decadence of intimacy which I have never before had.

I feel him stiffen and barely open my eyes to see that we made a quick turn down an empty passage and are heading straight for a ship. His ship.

I open my eyes, as he sets me down. Then makes his way to the cockpit.
I stand in the same spot, unsure of what to do or say.

"Do you know how to fly?" He questions fidgeting with various buttons.

"Yes." I say plainly.

"Come be my copilot."

I stand there for a moment, unsure.

"When are you going to start trusting me?" He chuckles, and the ship lifts off the ground.
I quickly make my way over and uncomfortably sit next to him. I dare not look at him, but I don't know what he wants me to do.

He hits a button and speaks into a nearby small mic, "this is Kylo Ren docking for a personal mission."

Then a few moments later an unfamiliar voice replies, "alright Master Ren you are cleared."

Suddenly the ship is leaving the maintenance bay, and we are moving at the speed of light. I turn to him and stare at him awkwardly until we emerge into a very desolate part of the galaxy. Around us is empty space and stars.

He sits back, puts the ship on autopilot and removes his helmet. He slowly turns to me, and we  stare at each other confused and awkwardly.

I gulp.

What have I gotten myself into.
