"What the heck?" My mouth dropped open in shock as I saw the mountain of whipped cream my friend Tyler just squirted on his frozen yoghurt.
"Hey, I never get frozen yoghurt!" Tyler shot back, skipping to the counter to pay for his treat. He is definitely a dramatic drama star.
With my friends Saber, Tyler, and Kennedy, we came up with a hilarious talent show act to perform at our Middle School Talent show. It was so fun, and now we are celebrating with frozen yogurt and pizza!
"Tyler, I think that is going to cost you more than $5." Saber said, rolling her eyes at him. Saber, always mature, reminded him again of the budget we had set to order a pizza too.
Of course, Tyler did not care. Whatever, I thought, as I faced Kennedy who was grinning at him.
" Kennedy lets go ahead of them to save seats at Piiza Spot!" I said excitedly, not willing to wait for Tyler to count out his jar of pennies.
"Yeah!" Kennedy cartwheeled and took out her video camera. I wonder what she is going to record this time.
Tyler was still counting his pennies. Not surprisingly, his froyo had cost 11.99! Real mature Tyler.
" No! Don't leave me with him..I'm begging you. You can't do this to me!", Saber cried, getting down on the floor and pretending to cry.
"You will live Saber. Don't worry." I say to Saber, patting her shoulder quickly and sprinting out the door with Kennedy.
"Ooh! Slurpees!", I heard Tyler exclaim as I was leaving. Poor Saber. It would probably take her a while to escape Yofrogurt.
Kennedy and I continued to walk to Piiza spot, which was about 5 blocks away. It is not a very long distance by car, but the walk is quite tiring.
As we crossed the road and began the steep inclined path up the hill, a couple pigeons landed in front of us on the sidewalk.
"Aww! Pigeons! They are so adorable!" Kennedy exclaimed as she whipped out her camera.
I rolled my eyes and decided to sit down on the nearby bench and finish my frozen yoghurt. This would probably take a while.
"Psst! Camille! Throw the pigeons one of your berries!" Kennedy whispered. " It will make for great eating footage."
Sighing, I tossed a couple raspberries to the pigeons. The pigeons flew away instantly.
" Thank god for that! Come on Kennedy, we might never make it to PiizaSpot if you keep this up."
Dejectedly putting away her camera, she followed me up the hill. We were laughing and talking and I think she forgot about the pigeons for a while. That's a positive.
"To be or not to be, that is the question!" I heard a voice saying the familiar Shakespeare quote from Hamlet.
Kennedy and I watched as a girl around our age approached us, carrying a packet of paper and muttering some other lines under her breath.
"Hello th're! I'm Aida and I wast wond'ring if 't be true thee has't seen any pigeons 'round h're. Those gents art mine own pets and those gents art missing! And if 't be true I findeth not those folk lief, I am going to beest late f'r mine own audition f'r hamlet! Those pigeons art filthy blood'd ash trees."
Okay...
"Yeah, there were some pigeons over by the bench on the hill, and we fed them some raspberries but they flew away. Sorry, we did not know the pigeons were someone's pets." I said quickly, feeling bad for making them fly away. But then again, they are birds.
"S'riously? mine own pigeons art all'rgic to raspb'rries! Anon i shalt nev'r findeth those folk! grant you mercy a lot!"
Whoops.
"Well, goodbye Aida." Kennedy said, grabbing my hand and dragging me away from the distraught girl.
"Was that just me or was that girl suffering from some sort of mental issue?" I asked Kennedy.
"I know right?"
"Anyway, looks like we made it to Piiza Spot."
"Finally!" I raced in, ready for some pizza.
" Kennedy, go get us a table, I will order for all of us." I said to Kennedy, while walking up to the line.
"Order 28, Ari, Berry, and Aida, please come pick up your order." The speaker dictated.
"What?!"
