Chapter 11

(Reilly's POV)

"Don't worry. No matter what, I will protect you. You are my mate and that is my job." He said with a concerned look.

I quickly rubbed one of the tears off my face and looked up at him.

"Th..th..thanks." I muttered.

"Listen I-"

"There you are! Are you ok? Do you need anything? I can't believe this happened I mean I thought you were, you know human and....."

"Mira!" I giggled. "I'm fine."

"Oh was I interrupting something?" She asked curiously.

"No I was just about to tell her that you were stopping by."Austin informed.

Maybe it was the look in his eye, but something told me that wasn't what he was going to say.

"Oh. Wait why are you crying?" she asked concerned.

"Umm it's nothing I just, umm, well I..I..Umm, I have to tell you something. Austin could you leave us alone for a couple of minutes?." I asked pleadingly.

He quickly scurried out the door and I began to explain the whole thing. I started from the very beginning just like I did with Austin.

"What?!? How come you never told me this before?" Mira asked frustrated.

I could tell she was angry at my father, but most of all at me for believing what he said.

"I'm sorry Mira I just couldn't... I don't know...I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone."

"It's okay." she said sniffling.

I pulled her into a tight hug. I may not have realized, but she had always been there for me through thick and thin and I'm a bit disappointed with myself for not telling her.

"Is there anyone else you've told before?" Mira asked.

I gulped.

"Umm, there may be one other person." I managed to say.

"What who?" she asked.

"Umm my, my ex-boyfriend Taylor. I thought he'd always be there for me, but he left after I told him the story and started dating my old best friend."

"Oh Riles I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed.

"It's ok." I said, wiping off the tear running down my cheek.

"Here, I brought you some fresh clothes. You should probably take a shower." she said changing the subject.

"Thanks." I said giving her a semi-smile.

I quickly walked into the bathroom and started the shower. It's finally out. I don't have to hold it in anymore.

When I was all dressed and finished my hair I went downstairs to find Austin sitting on the couch again. I sat down right next to him and laced my fingers with his. He was watching football so I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes to get some rest. When I woke up again the game was in the third quarter. When I had fallen asleep it was only the second.

I yawned.

"I thought I was asleep longer than that." I admitted.

"You were asleep for two and a half games." He stated.

"Oh. umm what time is it?"

"6:54." he replied.

"I have to go." I said, while checking my phone.

Mom:where are you?

Mom:when are you coming home?

Mom:why aren't you answering your calls?

Me: I'm on my way now.

I rushed out the door and got in the car.

The ride home was short and I was still debating what to tell my mom.

I reached my yellow two story house and parked the car. My mom rushed out of the house, giving me a disapproving look.

"Where on earth have you been?" She asked in her motherly tone.

"I told you earlier I was going out." I stated.

" But you never said where to and it's 7:08. You left about noon." she replied.

"I just hung out with Mira and accidentally fell asleep." I informed.

It wasn't all a lie. I had in fact been with Mira too.

"Whatever. Dinner's ready inside, but I almost thought I'd be eating alone, since you weren't answering my texts."

"Where's Travis?" I questioned.

"With some friends." she replied.

I quickly set my stuff down once inside and headed to the kitchen to get some dinner.

Sorry for the long wait guys. I've been pretty busy lately an I've had writers block, but I will try to update again as soon as possible. What do you guys think is gonna happen next?
