"So that's where we are heading then?", I said looking at the treasure map.
"Ye mi'boy! Dhat's where we're headin'. Mi'ek sure to bring a spiar with dou too. Maunsters roam around the parts of t'ay sea and dou don't want to gou empty hended!", said one of the pirates, clearly not a master in word pronunciations. Good thing I have my knowledge of both old and new languages from the Earth's history or I wouldn't have stood a chance against his lovely way of spelling.
"Right! And your name was again?", I asked.
"Mi naim is Fitz, mi'boy. I thaught I told you that alroedy!", he answered.
"Excuse my brother, Fitz. He tends to forget when he is deeply focused into things", said Rim grabbing me by the coat while laughing. "Right, bro?", mumbled while squeezing my arm.
"Yeah, sure. But I don't understand one thing. You keep saying that sea monsters swim around those areas. Have you seen those monsters, or better yet, have you had the opportunity to fight them?" It is true I did get to meet Kraken himself but even then I couldn't actually see it clearly! It was all covered by that green smoke, so I can't confirm that it was actually it.
"Wuell to teull the truth, Ai didn't actualy see oane.", answered Fitz. "But oane of mi fellow hiar had di unnfortunait occasion to come fuace to fuace with oane!", continued Fitz.
"Is he here by any chance? On this ship?", I asked.
"Nou sadly. He is buack home with his fuamily. Noice man though!"
"I see. So how long till we reach land?"
"About 10 minutes, sir!", answered one of the pirates placed on the mast.
"Good. Time to disembark!", I shouted excited.
"Alone?", asked Rim.
"You think I'll let you lose all the fun? C'mon Rim! You know me better than this", I said giving a cocky smile.
"That's what I thought.", she said smiling as well.
Ten minutes after we reached land, we began to search the area. It looked quite populated judging from the endless paintings on the stone, trees and leaves, indicating a tribe must be near. Hope they're friendly. Not that I complain, but it would be great to have a peaceful number of inhabitants for once. Know what I'm saying? Of course you do! You laughing pieces of shi- !
"Watcher look! I found someone!", said Rim.
"Really? Let me see!"
Getting closer to Rim's voice, I stumbled upon a child. Black of colour, male of gender, wearing only leaves as clothes, and with a broken spear on his hand. He was hurt, bleeding from his abdomen, his eyes closed and breathing heavily. He was dying.
"Hope I'm not too late. This looks bad. Go and grab some leaves while I'm treating him.", I said while using my sonic screwdriver to find out if there is any problem other than his bleeding.
"Here! This should do it!", said Rim.
"That was fast. Good job!"
"Thank you! So what is wrong with him?"
"It looks like he also got a strange infection, alien of origin I think..."
"So that means you can't cure him? Is there nothing you can do to help him?"
"If I manage to do something with these leaves... there! That should do be enough."
"What did you do?"
"Just rearranged some of the leaves molecules to that of a medicinal plant from Zexus with my sonic screwdriver. It should do the trick!"
"And you learned that when... ?"
