Dear Charlie,

You left this book lying on your bunk back at the orphanage. I remember seeing it and shoving it in my bag not really knowing what it was only knowing it must have been yours. I literally forgot about it until now…what almost a year later?

I’m not sure if you wanted me to take it. I’m not sure if you wanted me to read it. I’m not sure if you wanted me to write in it…but I did.

All I have to say is… you aren’t counting those 13 lights anymore. You aren’t being questioned about your feelings anymore. And you aren’t writing to no one anymore. But you are here for a reason and you always have been, you just didn’t realize it before.

Love,

 Nolan
