LION'S POV

I watched my beautiful mate run along to the house in a hurry, disappearing behind the green forest. It took everything in me not to chase that woman down and devour her every cell.

"You should have, sex is good for the pup." Her wolf told me, connecting to mine. A devious smile fell on my lips, just thinking that her wolf wanted it as much as we did. I could feel the bulge in my pantsuit began to grow and I was getting utterly excited for that naughty wolf Violet had. I bit my lower lip contemplating if I should go after her or not, thinking of the guest and if they would notice.

Fuck it

I was about to take off after her until a voice stopped me.

"So, how does it feel to finally be Alpha?" I didn't need to look over my shoulder to know that it was my father standing behind me.

"Amazing." Was my simple reply. I didn't want to talk to him after he played me. If that would have went any further than what it did, I would have never forgiven myself for physically harming her. It's already hard enough that I can't let go of the emotional pain that I've caused her.

"I bet. You're bigger, stronger and faster." He continued. I knew he was trying to make conversation but I don't want to talk, not here. Not now. "Reminds me of your old man."

"Don't! Alright, just stop dad. I have nothing to say to you." I was turning to leave as I said those harsh words. Don't get me wrong, I love my father, but I can't forgive and forget so easily the way Violet can. Having my father have him walk you down the aisle? Yeah, I'm forgiving but it'll take time before I can trust someone that I was once close to. Bless Violet's heart, for it is so forgiving.

"Don't you dare walk away from me, Lion. You may be the Alpha but you are still my son and I am still your father. I will embarrass you at your own wedding." He threatened with a sly smirk.

"And so will I." I heard my mother's voice in my head. I stopped in my tracks, looking up to see her staring at me with a silly grin on her face, dancing hand in hand with a small young boy. Making fun of me but also daring me to walk away at the same time. One thing is for sure, they are my parents and they'll do exactly as they say.

"You can't hate me forever, Lion." He threw his hands up in the air.

"I don't hate you, dad!" I semi yelled as I turned to face him. I wasn't trying to cause a scene but I didn't like talking about this right now. Not on my wedding night. Besides, we have bigger things to accomplish before hatching up our situation.

"I'm disappointed in you." I couldn't divert my eyes away from his. The man who raised me, trained me to fight, be a great and noble wolf, the man that taught me to always do the right thing, steered me wrong. All over some blast from the past bullshit!

"What else do you want from me! I've apologized to you and your mate! I am trying to do the right thing now, son!" He walked closer, urging me to understand and forgive. "I even asked Violet if she would let me walk her down the aisle."

"So did you do that for her or to make yourself feel better?" I sarcastically asked.

"I did it because I wanted to, son. And because I know it would have meant the world to her since her own father is a piece of shit!" He angered out. "She is an amazing female and I shouldn't have done what I did. She's nothing like her parents at all."
