Violet POV

"Thank Goddess, you're safe." He whispered while stepping closer to me, my body copying his as I moved closer to him. "I was so scared that-" he choked for a second. "I was panicking not being able to reach you." It was hard for him to say the words but I didn't need him to. I took a few more steps and embraced his naked body, his warmth making me feel at peace despite our current circumstances. His strong arms wrapped around me and within a lightening second his lips were on mine. This kiss wasn't of passion, lust or love. This kiss was out of fear. I could feel it running through our bond.

"Im okay." I said once we broke away. He blew off what I said as he examined my body from head to toe, moving my hair out of the way to see hidden areas on my skin, turning me around and checking my back side. He began sniffing all over me, next pulling up my right hand to inspect it. He must've felt the amount of pain I was in earlier with MiMi.

"I'm okay, Lion." That still didn't stop him as he kneeled down, lifted up my dress and began sniffing my innocence, his nose pressing against me causing my cheeks to turn slightly red. He was checking to see if I was harmed physically and sexually, with there being so many of our enemies and men here, it made sense for him to check.

Any mated male would have.

Although I shouldn't be embarrassed I was, I wouldn't dare speak on it though because this was purely natural. He soon sniffed upwards and stopped at my stomach, rubbing his head on my belly while releasing a sigh of relief.

"We're okay, Lion. I promise." He finally acknowledged me talking and stood back up, cupping my face into his hands.

"Got to check on my girl." He answered with no shame. "And my boy." Taking the back of my head in his hands, he pushed our lips together again.

This kiss was filled with everything but fear.

"Alright, now that you see she's okay, I'm going to need you two to back away from each other. Your father is coming any second." Medusa urged us. I don't know why I was so afraid, I tried to move from Lion's hold but he didn't let me. Instead, his hold tightened around me and he deepened our kiss, his tongue devouring my own as if he wanted to suck out my soul. He didn't give a damn what Medusa said, he was in this moment no matter who was coming.

"My mate is staying with me." His voice was dangerously low once he finally broke away, his eyes never leaving from mine as he spoke. "If he wants his daughter he'll have to kill me first."

"That can be arranged." My body stiffened as all of our gaze focused on the man of the hour. My father stood in all gold armor, thick silver blade running down his waist. Those gold eyes that I've inherited never took his eyes off of me, pure disgust evident on his features. My mother, looking beautiful as she always did was dressed in all gold as well, her long black wavy hair blowing through the wind as her dark green eyes caught my own, standing beside my father. Her long golden gloves were sharp at the fingertips with silver on the claws, threatening to any skin. If I didn't know any better, I thought she was going to vomit from the sight of us at any second. Dozen of men were standing behind them, all dressed in shiny gold attire as my parents. Some were even in their wolf forms already, with gold spiked collars around their neck to protect their jugglers.

They came ready for war.

"Violet, dear." He was far away, at least a hundred yards from us, but with our hearing I heard him loud and clear as he stuck out his hand for me. I didn't move, even if I wanted to the hold Lion had on me told me I wouldn't be going anywhere. I stayed tucked underneath him, my breast and stomach pressed against him firmly, protectively. My father gave me a side eye and dropped his hand  back down beside him. "Now, Violet, you know what will happen if you refuse? Yes?" He asked me calm as ever.
