I watched as MiMi's smile went from happy to terrified. What did she mean I couldn't tell my parents?

"Why would you say that? You're starting to sound just like Lion."

"Well, if the Alpha is telling you to stay away from them at this vulnerable time then you should listen." She encouraged.

"Okay, what's going on?" I became a little agitated. Not with her but just with the whole stay away from your family ordeal.

"I haven't been completely honest with you, V." She took a deep breath before she continued. "Your father sent me here...to spy on you and the pack." She put her head down in shame.

"Wait, what?" I questioned in disbelief.

"Lion didn't contact me, I contacted him. Your father told me to contact Lion and pretend to be extremely worried since I'm your best friend, knowing that Lion would trust me. That's when Lion invited me to the wedding, and I'm not the only one that's watching you." She looked down and I could tell she was embarrassed and felt terrible by her actions.

"Wh-why would you do that? You're my best friend." I was in disbelief that she would agree to such a thing.

"Trust me, Violet. I came to warn you and not spy as your father wished. I was so caught up in seeing you and catching up that it completely slipped my mind to inform you of what's going on." I was about to speak again until she cut me off. "You can't go to your parents, they don't care that Lion is your mate." She told me.

"Who's the other person spying on us?" I asked her, concerned for our safety.

"I don't know, he wouldn't tell me. He said he couldn't tell me just in case I got caught or if my emotions got the best of me."

"What is he planning?" I worried what my father may do. Our pack isn't weak, we could take out a whole US army but it would be a terrible battle between both packs because I know Lion's pack is just as strong. Something I didn't want to witness. MiMi's eyes saddened, obviously not too fond of telling me. "Tell me! What is he planning?" I demanded.

"He plans to attack this week, he wants Lion's head and his father's."

That's it! I wasn't about to stand here and listen anymore. This has to stop, there was no way I was going to let him harm my mate nor my pack.

"This cannot go on! I'm going over there." I was turning to leave until MiMi grabbed my arm forcefully turning me around to face her. I growled viciously, almost ripping her arm off with my extended claws. Lion's mother stood quickly and got in between us, her face looking towards MiMi.

"Don't ever forcefully grab her, especially at a time like this. She's on defense because of her motherly instincts to protect her child. Don't grab her again, unless you have a death wish." His mother said harshly. I don't think she meant it in a mean way, she was just letting MiMi know.

"My apologies, Luna. But listen to me, you can't go to your family. They do not care that you're pregnant and they don't care that you're in love with him." No, no that's not true. They couldn't be that heartless, that careless to say fuck me and my child.

"No, MiMi. They wouldn't, they love me! They wouldn't dare hu-" she cut me off before I could finish.

"They wouldn't hurt you. But they will hurt Lion, regardless of what's inside you." She glanced down at my belly. I still couldn't take that. I had to do something, there was no way I could sit by and let this happen.

"I'm going to fix this, they will listen to me." I was about to turn away and walk out until MiMi began to yell at me.

"Luna! You're not listening! They don't give a flying fuck about your child nor Lion! I know it's hard to believe but you must trust me, they won't stop until he's dead." She coldly told me.
