Chapter 11

"We have to cross that?" Riverpaw meowed in disbelief, seeing the fallen tree log. "Yes, I'll be right behind you if you fall" Wildspirit said. Riverpaw nodded and slowly crept along the tree branch. Half way across, Riverpaw lost her grip on the log and started to slide off the tree. "Got you" Wildspirit said as he grabbed Riverpaw's scruff. "Thanks" She said and continued to creep along the log. Snowpaw tried next, with Midnightstar watching her.

"No fair... you made it perfectly..." Riverpaw complained after Snowpaw landed on the ground beside her. "Ha! I didn't have to be saved by my lover" Snowpaw whispered back. "Wha..." Riverpaw said as she started to blush. "I don't love him!" She said. Snowpaw laughed and led the way through the bushes.

"All the clans are here?" A leader, smelling strongly of Thunderclan scent said. The other leaders nodded. "Hopepaw? Who are all the leaders?" Snowpaw asked, sitting next to Hopepaw. "The leader that just spoke is Thunderclan's leader, Stormstar." Hopepaw said. "The one next to him is Riverclan's leader, Fishstar. The one on the other side is Buzzardstar. And next to Buzzardstar is, of course, Midnightstar." Hopepaw finished. "Thanks" Snowpaw said before turning her attention to the leaders.

"I will go first!" Fishstar said. "Riverclan has lost Minnowtail to a twoleg trap, and Gempaw and Rushingpaw were killed by a twoleg monster who was chasing them down" Fishstar finished. All the cats in the clearing called in sorrow. "I'll go next!" Stormstar said. "Thunderclan has lost an elder to old age, Shadewhisker. Rockfur and Branchtail have gone missing, we assume twolegs took them" Stormstar finished.

More cries rang out. "I'll go now!" Midnightstar said. "We lost a kitten of Cavefur's litter to a twoleg kit. She gave birth out in the swamp and a twoleg kit took one before a warrior could stop them. We also just lost Featherclaw around dusk today. His apprentice, Snowpaw, was lucky enough to escape." Midnightstar concluded. All the cats cried out in shock.

"I shall finish then!" Buzzardstar said. "We have lost territory to the twolegs. During our battle two warriors and an apprentice were killed, Redheart, Magpietail, and Sparkpaw now rest in Starclan!" Buzzardstar ended. "I have a matter to bring up!" Fishstar yowled over the cries. "Recently we had two Bloodclan members invade our camp!" Fishstar told the cats. All the clans cried out in shock except for Shadowclan. "Why is it no Shadowclan cat seems surprised?" Stormstar asked.

"We know of those two cats... they have joined us!" Midnightstar cried out. Angry hisses and snarls were heard. "Run!" Hopepaw hissed. "Wildspirit is telling you to run!" She hissed again. Riverpaw and Snowpaw nodded their thanks and slipped out of the clearing. They crossed the tree without problem, and ran back to camp. "That was close..." Snowpaw panted as they came to a stop by the camp's entrance. Riverpaw nodded.

Anyone have a ship name for River x Wildspirit? I can't think of one that works.

The best I got is either Rild or Sperit.
