"Will I be on solid ground at the end of the earthquake? I can't even think straight. This is a changeover and the audience has no idea."

"You're even worse than I thought!" I laughed as I walked besides the face painted Sand Ninja through Konoha.

Kankuro laughed with me, throwing his head back. "What? Temari stole my face paint, so I stole her fan. Relax, she could've gone without it for a couple days... Or a couple weeks."

I shook my head. "That's hardly the equivalent... A weapon for make up." I giggled, eyeing him.

He nodded. "Actually, it is the equivalent..." Then he immediately glared after, catching what I'd said. "And it's not make up. It's face paint."

I rolled my eyes at the teen. "Yeah, okay boy."

Kankuro turned his head towards me fully now, raising a brow at me and looking serious. "Don't call me that."

"Why not? You are just a little boy that plays with dolls." I smiled teasingly at him. Call it a habit but I loved getting people ticked off, something about teasing them and seeing how it got them worked up for a moment was just funny to me. I know I can't be the only one that does this.

"You'll regret saying that one day. What do you do anyway, now that you're a Leaf Genin?" He asked, wrinkling his nose teasingly at the last two words.

I stopped, making Kankuro also stop and Mamoru jump off of my shoulder as he was in his cat form. I wagged my finger in the slightly taller boy's face. "Ah, ah, ah. I'm not just going to tell you my secrets. That'd be too easy, wouldn't it punk?" I asked, pinching his cheek and managing to smear a little bit of the purple paint off.

He smacked my hand away with a groan. "I hate when you do that. You're more annoying than Temari is sometimes, I swear." He mumbled, trying to remake the line on his cheek with his finger.

I simply stuck my tongue out at him but didn't say anything else as we continued to walk. I ran into Kankuro earlier while I was just roaming the Konoha streets. I was with Mamoru while Kankuro was with Temari. Needless to say, Temari was acting... Weird. I know I wasn't staying with them long when I first came to this ninja world to know how she normally acts but she was acting slightly different than how she did when I was in the Sand. Kankuro wanted to talk and catch up with me but Temari said she had other things to do, but I caught her glare towards her younger brother before she left. When I asked what that was about, all Kankuro said was that she was stressed about the Chunin Exams... Which was kind of hard to believe for me. Temari didn't seem like the type to get stressed over some exams. Nonetheless, I didn't question it further. I introduced Mamoru and Kankuro, telling him about how we met and what's happened since I've been in the Leaf and he's told me what's happened since I left the Sand, which is how we got to this conversation.

"Hey," I began, thinking of something. "Were you really gonna punch that kid, Konohamaru?"

He looked at me with a nasty grin, one eye being closed. "Are you kidding? If you hadn't surprised me, I would've already taken care of him!"

I smirked back at him. "Would you have done it for 500,000 ryo?"

This apparently made him laugh. I found it pretty simple to talk and joke around with Kankuro-- when we weren't arguing over something and although most of the time we were secretly serious with our little jokes. We both had a weird sadistic sense of humor that it was just easy to let the words flow without having someone look at you like you grew five heads and a horn. "I'd punch any kid for just ten ryo." We ended up staring at each other for a moment seriously before he spoke again. "I'd give you 10 ryo to let me punch a kid."
