36 | REAL LIFE

"I SWEAR I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN." Louise groaned, a hand running through her hair. Despite telling repeatedly herself no before she came to the party and during, Louise decided to 'treat herself' and have a little more than 3 shots.

And so she downed 3 more.

"These are definitely the last ones, Lance. No more." She said with a stern look, feeling lightly buzzed, but not drunk.

Lance cocked a brow and chuckled, "Just 3 more? Please, Louise?"

Louise widened her eyes, "No! No way. I don't want a repeat of halloween. That was an embarrassment."

   "Embarrassment?" He asked. "How so?"

Louise gave him a pointed look, "Well for starters, I got way too drunk, drunker than I have ever been before, and not to mention that you found me in a mess and vulnerable and had to take me home. Embarrassing."

"Well," Lance started, placing his empty glass down on the mini bar countertop and standing up. "If you're not going to drink, then are you at least gonna dance or something?"

Louise's head turned to where people were most likely grinding their sweaty bodies against each other, something that didn't quite appeal to her. However, she saw an opportunity, and so she decided to take it. With a cock of a brow, she smirked and rose from her seat. "Fine, I will."

Lance grinned and let Louise follow him to the 'dance floor', but really, it was just the empty space where the sofas and coffee table would've been, which have been pushed off to the side. A slightly upbeat and sensual song came on next, which Louise found extremely convenient, as though it was planned.

"You know," Lance started. "I'm not really much of a dancer."

Louise rolled her eyes and grabbed his collar, pulling him closer to her body. "Did I ask, if you were a dancer?" She whispered, moving against him along with the music. His eyes flickered down to her slightly shorter frame, hands going to her waist. Together, they moved against one another to the beat of the song. Louise threw her head back and shook a hand through her hair.

"You do know you drive me crazy, right?" He whispered lowly in the ear, at which Louise slightly smirked to. "Sexually and emotionally."

Louise looked up into his eyes, her hands reaching up to his face, a single perfectly manicured finger trailed down his jaw. "I wish I could relate." She said teasingly, lying.

Lance licked his lips frustratedly and looked away for a second, then reverted his gaze back to her. "You're such a tease, you know that?"

"Oh I'm fully aware." She said in his ear, the music blaring over them. She stepped away from a flustered Lance, which made his brows furrow in return. With the smirk still on her face, she grabbed the arm of a man behind her, and turned him around. "Hey hot stuff." The stranger said once he laid eyes on Louise. Louise bit her lip and placed a hand behind the males neck, and with her eyes still locked onto Lance's, she kissed him.

A feel arose within Lance, one that he didn't know what it was, which caused him to look away from the interlocked pair. For some odd reason, one beyond his explanation, he wished that he was in the man's place, the one that was locking lips with Lou.
