The days are long
But not long enough
The roads are paved
But not paved enough
The trees, they sway
But don't sway enough
My mind takes breaks
But doesn't take breaks enough
My head is still
But not still enough
My cries are loud
But not loud enough
I try to run
But I'm not fast enough
My shaking has slowed
But is still not slow enough
My ideas are great
But not good enough
The sky is blue
But not blue enough
These knives are sharp
But not sharp enough
These words, they hurt
And they hurt enough
The days are long
That's long enough
