This black dog keeps taunting me
Recognizing my reality
Tearing up my humanity
Shredding my mind
Yet I protect it with my lies
Was never too good at that
You can tell by the black beneath my eyes
My black dog is still alive
Why won't it die
There's always another way out
But every closed route
Is starting to add up
I'm on my knees
I beg and plead
It's too late for me
I swear this dog could bark a symphony
If only this dog could become ill
Then all of this screaming would stop at a still
Then I would be free
Oh please
Oh please
Just take this dog away from me
