Cause and Effect

There is a cause
And there is an effect
I was given a name
And that name was defect
I am merely just a side
And that became my side effect
I am a rather deprecating knockoff brand
Oh and slightly imperfect

That's rather broad so I'll explain

There is a cause
That which leaves a pause
For a subject and a clause
Of what could be iron laws

There is an effect
That can be treated with respect
For it can be seen to reelect
The cause leading to the effect

I was given a name
Some suspect self maim
But reality tends to sustain
My plausible given name

That name was defect
And my defect is loss of prefect
That should keep me from coinfect
Ing my possible affect

I am merely just a side
Who is unwilling to abide
By the rules set aside
To take away my pride

And that became my side effect
Which is an echo of my defect
One that compels me to protect
Those who's minds prove disject

I am a rather deprecating knockoff brand
That probably should've ran
Instead I stretched out my hand
And tried to help you understand

Oh and slightly imperfect
A prototype with a defect
With no means of disrespect
Is anyone really perfect?
