Sister Jude

I rubbed my eyes and checked the alarm clock next to me. It was noon. "I had a crazy dream." She was rushing around getting our stuff together. "Well, you can tell me in the car, we have got a long ride ahead of us."

"So, this is it. We're officially gonna be parents." We were pulled up in front of the orphanage. It was beautiful, it had a playground, and just kinda sparkled. "Yeah, uhm. Would you smack me?" She looked at me, obviously confused. "What?" I put my face in hers. "I want to make sure I'm not dreaming. Because, last time, some crazy shit happened." She shook her head. "That was a messed up dream, but we're here. And if you ever want to tell if you're dreaming or not, look at the time. Look away, then look back at the time. If it's the same time both times, then you're not dreaming." She smiled. I tried it, "I'm not dreaming. But how are you still so beautiful?" I kissed her cheek and we both got out of the car. We started walking towards the front door. I grabbed her hand in mine and opened the door. We were greeted by a smiling nun. "Hello, sister. We're looking to adopt." She started leading us towards the main office. "Welcome! Welcome! What age range were you looking to adopt?" We tried to keep with her pace, but I had no idea how she walked that fast. Especially in her long religious wear. "We were looking for someone.. Specifically." We finally made it to the office and she had us sit down in a love seat across from her desk. "Do you know their name?" I had my hand on Lisa's lap. I was nervous as all hell, I couldn't imagine how Lisa felt. "Yeah, uhm.. Uh.." I was getting sweaty, I had no idea why I was so nervous. I looked down and at Lisa. "Liam Rockwell." She walked towards her file cabinet. "That poor soul, he's been through so much. What's your relation to him?" Lisa answered for me again. "We're just lost friends to the family, and we feel it is right to adopt him." I looked around her office. There were tons of pictures and files and crosses. It just felt so peaceful. It relaxed me a bit. "Right. My wife and I, are excited and we felt like this would be the right decision to move on with our relationship." I had my eyes glued on Lisa. "Right. So let me tell you a bit about him," She sat down at the desk with Liam's file in front of her. "Liam was born and raised in a small town in Illinois. His mother and father were both alcoholics. His father, being abusive, and his mother too depressed to take care of him. And-" I cut her off. "It's okay, we already know this." She pulled out some paperwork and we filled it all out and did a bunch of technical other things.

[Half Hour Later]

She called in for the other nun. "Sister Mary Eunice!," She came rushing in. She had blonde hair, and was average height. "Could you go fetch Liam, that young, new boy? With all of his things." Sister Mary nodded and left. She returned maybe two minutes later with Liam in back of her, he had a backpack on. Lisa and I jumped up. I ran towards him and hugged him. "Liam, oh my God. I can't believe it's you." We remained hugging until Lisa cleared her throat. "Lisa!," Liam reached over and hugged her, escaping from my grip. "I can't believe you guys are adopting me!" He was crying. Lisa was hugging him. "Thank you, and that's it? I just take the papers, and everything else?" Sister Jude went to desk to grab the papers. "Here you are, take good care of him." I hugged her and grabbed Liam's hand. We left out the door.

"Wow. I can't believe everything that just happened! You guys are a mom and dad! And you're married?! You guys are crazy!" I laughed. I was driving and it was getting late. We just crossed the California state line. I decided not to stop at a hotel, for obvious reasons. "I know! I'm so excited! We should do something as a family soon! But for now, I'm ravenous. Shane, we need to stop and eat." Lisa was sitting in back talking to him the whole time. I was up in the driver's seat, listening, and enjoying the bonding that was going on. Liam has not stopped smiling. "That's fine, we'll stop at the next restaurant we pass. Liam, we need to talk to you about something." They both looked up at me. I kept my eyes on the road, occasionally looking back. "You need to know that we'll love you unconditionally. We aren't like your birth parents. At all. We need you to know that we love you and will be there for you, even when you think not. We're your parents now, you have to understand that.. Okay?," He quickly agreed. "Don't tell anyone yet. I'm not sure how the fanbase will react and how they'll treat you. They literally just found out that Lisa and I are engaged. They don't even know we're married yet," I laughed. "You are no longer a Sick Fuck or a Love Bug, you're our son." I saw a tear escape his eye and Lisa took him in for a hug. "Hey look, food!" We finally reached a main road with lots of little stores and food places. "You decide where we eat, Liam." It was approaching 9pm and believe it or not, I'm tired. "I don't care." I pulled up to a quick fast food place and ordered three burgers, three fry orders, and three sprites. I distributed it out and continued driving. "So, there's about three hours of driving left. I'm not gonna stop unless you guys gotta pee or something." They both nodded and about an hour later, Liam fell asleep. Lisa climbed up to the front seat. We started our whispering conversation. "Shane, I'm still hungryyy." I grabbed the fries on the side of my seat and handed it to her. "Here you are, I don't know why I ordered them." She scarfed them down. "So, where's he gonna sleep?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Wherever he wants, I guess. Probs the guest bed." She was fiddling with her thumbs. "The next theatre class is in a month and school starts Monday for him." "Okay, we'll enroll him as soon as possible and get him used to us. I'm excited Lisa, we're reading the next chapter of our book together. This is us, we're stepping up." I looked over at her, she was asleep.

I pulled onto our road and drove into the driveway and parked. Lisa woke up right away. I handed her the papers and our things. I got up and opened the door for her. Then, I opened up the back door and grabbed both of our bags and put them on. I went and opened up Liam's door and grabbed him into my arms. Lisa was waiting for me. She smiled when she saw Liam in my arms and we slowly walked inside. I locked the car and we went inside.

I set Liam down on the bed and took off his shoes. Lisa took off his jacket and we tucked him in the guest bed. I kissed Lisa and we went to our bed.

"Night, honey." 'Night' she muttered off to sleep.

[Lisa's Point of View]

"Shane, wake up. Shaneee," He was muttering in his sleep and it was almost noon. "Underwear..The clown.. didn't.." He was mumbling in his sleep. "SHANE." He sat right up. "What?! What's wrong?" He had crazy bed head hair and looked tired. "It's almost noon, I don't feel good, I threw up twice and there's nothing to eat." He sat up and rubbed his face. He was in his boxers and 'infamous' shirt. "What do you want to eat, and what do you want for your tummy?" He smiled at me when he started putting on his jeans. "Probably Alka-Seltzer and something settling, like cake." "Cake?" He put on a different shirt and grabbed me into his arms. "Shane!," He was carrying me like a baby. "Put me down!,"

[Shane's Point of View]

I walked her out into the living room. Liam was on the couch, sitting there awkwardly. "Go get dressed, son." He jumped up and went and got dressed. I set Lisa down on the couch, in her favorite spot. I tucked her in with a big, soft blanket and kissed her forehead. "I'll be right back. Is there anything else you want?" She nodded. "I want you when you get back." I kissed her on the lips and grabbed the keys. "Bye, hun. Love you." "Love you." She called out. She turned on 'Pretty Little Liars' as Liam and I left.

-Flash Back-

"What do we do?!" I was starting to panic. My past self just got hit on the head. "Make it look like a robbery! Mess up the house a bit!" We ran inside and messed up the house. "I hid the games in the closet. Let's go." He whispered to me. We ran out, almost tripping on the old me. "You sure this is right?" He nodded. "This is how you remember it, correct?" I nodded, looking down at his green Nikes. "Then, yes, it is. Let's go." We ran out into the street and quickly vanished, leaving the future/past behind us.

(Present day)

I walked in the house to find Lisa still watching 'Pretty Little Liars'. "Honey, I got you a cake and some hot doritos. I know you like this stuff when you're on your period." I brought the cake into the kitchen and brought her the bag of doritos. "Thanks, except I'm not on my period yet." "You sure have an appetite like you are." "Alright, well my stomach is too upset for doritos, can I get some Alka-Seltzer and cake?" I laughed. "Girl, you are confusing. I know for a fact I wouldn't want cake when I'm sick." I fixed her some alka-seltzer and a slice of cake. "Liam, help yourself." He got himself some cake and milk. "So, what are the plans today?" He asked coming over sitting by us. "I was thinking if Lisa feels better later, we can shoot a family video for Youtube. I also want to check what people are saying about the engagement." "I forgot!" Lisa sat up. "Let's look now." She started getting off the couch. "No, you stay here, I'll get my laptop." I ran and got my laptop and we all sat down and looked through the nice comments and edits. "Look!, They're asking when we're gonna have a baby." I laughed. "We got one right here, and they don't even know." Liam blushed and I ruffled his hair.

SO, I had to end the chapter here because it's kind of dragging on. I'm posting another chapter in a few hours. I decided to end the story within another 5 chapters (that may change) since there's a few lose ends I need to tie up and a few more surprises.
