Explaining Somewhat

I blinked at Leo, totally confused. The four...? I've only heard about two. Natalie and her friend.

"Leo," Raph said, grabbing his arm and muttering in his ear.

Leo glared softly at Raph, "Well this will be the truth..."

I put together what he said and turned to Raph, "You lied to me? When?"

"For good reason!" Raph said quickly. "And when you asked what her name was."

"Her name wasn't Natalie...?" I asked.

And just as Raph was about to answer, Leo stepped in and said, "Back to the lair first. Karai might come back."

We all nodded reluctantly and followed Leo out of Murakami's. But before we left, Raph pulled out a few dollar bills and set them on the island. Murakami nodded, coming out from behind a counter.

The boys led the way back to the lair, me following behind, already ahead of the questions I should ask. Like "Who's the four girls" and "Why did that chick seem to know me" and even "Why does Raph have a major crush on someone he just met"?

As Leo opened the manhole cover to go to the sewers, the boys jumped down. I stayed a top for a brief second to check my T-Phone. Nothing. So I jumped down after the boys, pulling the cover over correctly.

Going to the lair, I was about to burst with questions, but Leo turned around as we entered the main room. "Before you ask anything, just give a us a second."

"Why?" I snapped, my impatience growing. "So you can prepare more lies?"

"No," Leo said calmly. Almost too calmly to make me wonder what they were about to say. "Just to get some precautions ready in case you tried anything."

"Like tie me up again like you did the first day?"

Los paused then groaned. "No... We won't do that again."

"Good, because I'm not gonna go anywhere until you explain what the hell is going on."

"Then sit," Raph finally spoke up. He was standing behind the couch with Spike on his shoulder. Donnie and Mikey were sitting down, Donnie on his laptop and acting casually. "Because before we explain, you answer some of our questions."

I glared at him before slowly coming up and sitting down, my arms crossing over my chest. "So what's first?"

"Do you know a Julie?" Donnie turned his attention to me.

"I thought you asked this," I said.

"The others didn't hear you," Donnie said rather harsh.

"She's my closest friend. Other than Sophie--" Leo's eyes brightened a little "--and Cindy."

"A Mikito...?" Mikey asked hopeful.

I shook my head. "Never heard that name before."

Mikey's head lowered in sadness. I sighed and turned to Leo. His eyes had finally dimmed again and was looking thoughtful.

"Can I start asking now?" I asked.

"No," Leo shook his head, turning to me. "It's time you knew the four girls."

Granted, a short chapter, and a repeated chapter, but I needed to get a point across. The next chapter will be longer (hopefully) and actually in the past. It will explain a lot of what happened. I love the tension
