I woke up to the sun and I groaned. I didn't even know what time it was or what time I fell asleep. Sitting up, I felt my hair poof up. I sighed and looked around for a brush. Did we even have one in here...? I got up and walked to the closet. I found one and grabbed it, brushing my knotted hair out.

"Oh, God..." I sighed, gritting my teeth. "I need a shower..."

"That you do," a voice said, making me squeal and jump, dropping the brush, but it stayed in my hair. I turned to face whoever spoke and relaxed, seeing Julie. "What happened to you?"

"Kidnapped," I replied, trying to get the brush out of my hair. "Like I said over the phone."

"Which your phone died," she smiled, coming up to me. "How'd you get back?"

"I left," I said. "Twice. But the first time, I got bit by a mutant fish, so I had to go back to get healed..."

"A mutant fish?" she asked, already disbelieving me. "Right, sure, okay. What else? A giant rat?"

"Yes, actually," I said, slightly annoyed. "His name's Splinter and he was actually once a man."

She nodded, looking like she believed but I knew she didn't. I probably sounded like a psycho. But then again, I might. I spent the last few days stuck in the sewers with four mutant Turtles and a Rat. And, from what I know, there used to be dragons living with them.

I sighed, and shook my head. I grabbed the brush and started to try and brush my hair out again, gritting my teeth from my sensitive scalp.

"Here..." Julie sighed, taking the brush from me. I blinked and she pointed to the bed. Sighing, I went to the bed and sat down, stuffing my hands in my sweater pocket. I felt like a little kid again as she brushed out my black hair.

"I feel like a kid..." I decided to say aloud.

Julie laughed softly, making me smile. Hearing her laugh was always refreshing. Like seeing Sophie grin and Cindy giggle... Even if I hated her giggle...

"And I feel like a mom," she said with a smile in her voice.

"And you say you'd be a bad mom."

"You're sixteen, Naomi," she scoffed. "It's easier to deal with than a two-year-old."

"Even though I act one at most times," I smirked, crying out sharply as Julie tugged on a large knot. "Easy! You know my head is tender!"

"Which is why you need to do more with it..." Julie sighed. "Damn, Naomi..."

Looking down, I sighed, "You sound like my step mom..."

Julie paused then said with a happy tune, "She's been doing good since you've been gone though."

"Comforting...." I growled lowly, looking away.

Behind me, Julie groaned and tugged at the knotted part that she hadn't got to yet, making me cry out and try to pull away. But like any other time she wants to keep me in place, she kept me close.

"Maybe that attitude of yours is some of the issue?" she snapped.

I gritted my teeth from feeling tears forming. I had my scalp.... and she wasn't even halfway done....! "I don't have an attitude...!"

"You sure do," Julie sighed, tugging at the ends of my hair. "But it wasn't as bad before you disappeared... What really happened...?"

"I told you...." I sighed, looking away.

"No," Julie said sternly. "You just told me what's been going on in your dreams."

I paused. "Dreams....?" I asked.

She stopped her brushing, partly giving up on it I imagine. "Every morning at breakfast you give me weird detailed dreams about four giant and talking Turtles."

"I-I don't remember that..." I whined softly, turning my head a little to look at her worried. Julie must've seen my discomfort and she, too, looked a little worried. "Am I going insane....?" I asked.

"Or you've just been here the whole time in a large dream," Julie smiled innocently. She touched my cheek and kissed me on the lips, making me blush. "Now let me finish this rats nest, okay?"
