Mitch couldn't be more relieved when school ended. However, he decided to walk home since Scott's staying after school and Mitch doesn't feel like staying in that place any longer.

Mitch takes a shower once he gets home and decides to do his homework downstairs while he waits for Scott. He turns on the TV and puts on spotify, blasting Beyonce. He definitely has Scott's music taste.

Scott doesn't get home until two hours later.

"Mitch? What are you doing?" Scott asks curiously when he walks into the living room, seeing Mitch sitting on the floor with his books and papers surrounding him.

"I thought I would do my homework while I waited for you... it's been two hours and I still haven't finished. I'm so tired I feel like I could pass out on this floor," Mitch complains.

"Oh, sweetheart. Come here, take a break," Scott says softly as he places his bag on the floor. He takes off his jacket and places it on the back of the couch before sitting down. "Come here."

Mitch hesitates before standing up and walking over to sit on the couch.

Scott takes a deep breath before looking over at Mitch. "Okay... I've been trying to figure out how I should go about this. It's not going to be easy no matter what we decide to do," he says.

"Why?" Mitch asks curiously, tilting his head slightly.

"Why? Because I'm a teacher and you're a student. It's illegal. I could go to jail," Scott says.

"But... we could keep it a secret," Mitch frowns.

"Sweetheart, these types of relationships never work out. Someone always finds out in the end. Besides, Travis is already trying to start rumors about us being in a relationship," Scott says.

"Who cares about what Travis says? The teachers don't trust him. Even Mrs. White said that,"

"Mrs. White said that?" Scott asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Mhm," Mitch nods. "Travis brought us being in a relationship up earlier and Mrs. White was not amused, and already half the teachers know that you're my guardian. They wouldn't suspect anything."

"Mitch," Scott sighs. "You're a teenager. You shouldn't be with someone like me where we'd have to hide our relationship. I want you to be able to go out there and make friends and have a real boyfriend."

"I don't want anybody else, Scott. You can't just kiss me and think that I'll forget about it. I already had feelings for you before you did that," Mitch says. He crosses his arms against his chest.

"You had already had feelings for me?" Scott asks, frowning slightly.

"Sir, everybody at school has a crush you. You're probably one of the youngest teachers at our school, and it doesn't help that I get to cuddle with you every night," Mitch says. "I've always had a crush on you. I'm not stupid. I know student/teacher relationships are illegal but next year I turn eighteen and then I graduate, and then we can be with each other. I wouldn't even have to hide for that long."

"I-I don't know, Mitch," Scott whispers. "I'm just worried about either of us getting in trouble."

"We'll just have to be really careful," Mitch shrugs, and then he bites his lip. "Please, Sir?" He scoots closer to Scott. "Give me a chance and I'll prove to you that I'm mature enough for this relationship."

Scott stares at Mitch though he doesn't say anything.

Mitch smiles and then he crawls onto Scott's lap, straddling him. He doesn't know where all this confidence has come from but he just so desperately wants to be with Scott, especially after that kiss.

"Mitch-" Scott whispers as he places his hands on Mitch's chest to push him away.

"I'll be careful, and it's not like I have anyone to tell. I don't have any friends. I had Travis but obviously that didn't work out. You're the only person I hang out with," Mitch says. "I like it that way."

"You don't want any friends? What about Avi and Kevin?" Scott asks.

"I mean, they're nice and all but it's not like they're knocking down our door to hang out with me. I don't really like hanging out with people at school. They judge me," Mitch says before sliding off of Scott. "I get it though. I'm just a teenager. You wouldn't want to be with someone like me." He stands to stand up.

"Mitch-" Scott frowns. "Hey, Mitch... wait." He quickly grabs Mitch and pulls him back down.

"Sir?" Mitch asks, blinking a few times as he looks up at Scott.

"I like you... a lot. I love spending time with you and I shouldn't crave you the way I do. I didn't even mean to kiss you earlier but it just happened. Do I regret it? No. I don't want to get you in trouble," Scott says.

"You won't," Mitch says, frowning. "Can't we just... give it a try?"

"I..." Scott sighs in defeat. "Okay. But, we'll have to be careful. We can't do anything at school. No kissing or hand holding or anything that will make people suspicious."

"Sir, we live together. I won't need to do any of that at school because we'll be home together," Mitch says.

"Just know that us hiding doesn't mean that I'm ashamed of being with you. I just want to protect you. I just got you and I don't want you to be taken away from me," Scott says as he pulls Mitch back on his lap. "I love you so much and I cannot believe how quickly I fell for you."

Mitch giggles. "Can you... kiss me again?" He asks.

Scott grins, and then he pulls Mitch closer to him and kisses him passionately.

Mitch sits up on his knees, straddling Scott again, as they kiss. The kiss quickly gets heated. Mitch squeals as Scott grabs him and gently pushes him down on his back.

Scott finally pulls away from the kiss and looks down at Mitch. "Have you had dinner yet?"

Mitch rolls his eyes. "Way to ruin the moment," he mumbles.

Scott laughs and shakes his head, kissing Mitch once more. "Hey, I may be your boyfriend now but I still have to take care of you like I promised," he says. "I'll go make something real quick."

"Boyfriend?" Mitch asks, a smile forming on his face. "I like the sound of that."

"Me too," Scott grins before standing up and walking to the kitchen.

Mitch sighs happily as he lays there. It didn't feel like all this is real. He's had the worst day at school thanks to Travis but he's just glad that the day ended on a nice note. On a very good note.

Scott put together a quick little dinner and then they ended up cuddling on the couch with a movie on. However, Mitch had been so exhausted from doing his homework that he fell asleep.

"You're so cute," Scott whispers before gently lifting Mitch from the couch and carrying him upstairs. He places Mitch on his bed and tucks him in. He's about to turn around to leave but he stops when he feels someone grab his hand. He looks over and smiles a little when he sees Mitch.

"Stay?" Mitch asks tiredly as he looks up at Scott. "Please... stay?"

Scott takes a deep breath, unsure if he should sleep in the same bed as Mitch. They were in a relationship now but Scott also doesn't want to step over any lines, knowing what the boy went through before.

"I have to clean the house but I promise I'll be back when I'm done," Scott says. He leans down and gently kisses Mitch forehead. "Get some sleep, okay? You've had a rough day."

"Okay," Mitch mumbles before yawning. "I love you, Scotty."
