"Kirstie, wait!" Scott yells as he follows Kirstie into the living room. "It's not what it looks like-"
Mitch blinks a few times when he hears Scott yelling and sees Kirstie storming into the living room. "Kirst-"
"Come on, Mitch. Go pack your bags. You're not staying here anymore,"
"Why?" Mitch asks, frowning. "Why do I have to leave?"
"Because your teacher is taking advantage of you and I'm not going to allow it any longer! Get up now and go get your bags!" Kirstie yells as she pulls Mitch up from the couch.
Mitch gasps and pulls his arm back, not wanting Kirstie to hurt him. "My teacher isn't taking advantage of me," he says nervously.
"You don't have to pretend anymore, it's okay," Kirstie says softly.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Mitch says as he takes a few steps away from her.
"Kirstie, stop!" Scott yells. "You shouldn't just jump to conclusions."
"I saw enough to know what's going on!" Kirstie yells as she glares at Scott.
"You don't know anything that's happening between me and Mitch!" Scott yells back at her. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "What you saw... did it look like I forcing that boy in any shape or form?"
"That doesn't matter Scott! He's a minor!" Kirstie yells angrily.
"I love him!" Scott takes a deep breath as he stares at Kirstie. "I can't help who I fall in love with!"
"That doesn't make it okay," Kirstie snaps. "He's a teenager and you're an adult."
"I thought you were my friend?" Scott asks. "Are you really going to turn me in?"
"Scott, you know I love you but I can't support this," Kirstie frowns. "I have to call the po-" She stops when she hears a door slam shut. She looks over and her eyes widen when she sees that Mitch is no longer standing next to her. "Oh no. Where did he go?"
"Mitch!" Scott yells before running up the stairs to check Mitch's bedroom.
Kirstie runs over to the window and gasps when she sees Mitch running away from the house. "He's not there, Scott! He left!" She runs over to the door and opens it, rushing outside.
Scott rushes past her and runs to his car. He looks back and sees Mitch running. "Fuck!" Scott yells before getting into the car. He looks over and frowns when he sees Kirstie getting into the car.
"What are you doing? We have to catch him, go!" Kirstie yells.
Scott shuts the door and starts the car, and immediately pulls out of the driveway.
"I can't believe he runaway," Kirstie sighs and shakes her head.
"I should have never text you. This would have never happened," Scott grumbles as he grips the wheel.
"You should have never gotten into a relationship with him in the first place," Kirstie snaps.
Scott glares at her before turning his focus back onto the road.
Mitch is gone all night and Scott searched all around town for him. He didn't give up.
"Scott, come on. It's almost midnight now. We should have called the police hours ago..." Kirstie frowns as she looks down at Scott, who's not sitting on a park bench with his face buried in his hands.
"Why?" Scott asks as he looks up at Kirstie. "So you can turn me in?" His voice cracks.
"Scott, it's illegal. He's a minor. You should have known better than to do something like this, someone was bound to find out eventually," Kirstie sighs and runs her hand through her hair.
"I cannot help who I fall in love with," Scott snaps. "I love him whether you believe it or not."
"You can help who you fall in love with. You knew he was a minor!"
"Enough!" Scott yells. "My boy is missing! Fucking call the police for all I care! I just want him back!"
Kirstie takes a deep breath as she stares at Scott. "Do you really care about him?"
"More than anything," Scott sniffs and he can't help but let his eyes water up. "I'm not just using him to fuck with him. He's someone that I truly care about. Look, he even gave me this necklace-"
"Wait, he got that necklace for you?" Kirstie asks, frowning slightly. "Were you dating...?"
"We've been dating quite awhile. I mean it took him a few months before he really warmed up to me but then we started dating. Kirstie, I haven't even had sex with him," Scott says.
"Are you telling the truth or are you just saying that?" Kirstie asks.
"I don't know what else I can say to make you believe me," Scott frowns, feeling almost defeated.
Kirstie takes a deep breath and closes her eyes before looking back up at Scott. "I won't call the police... yet," she says. "One wrong move from you and I won't hesitate. He's still a child."
Scott gasps. "Oh my God, thank you!" He hugs Kirstie tightly.
"Don't make me regret this, Scott," Kirstie says as she hugs him back.
"You won't regret it, I promise," Scott sniffs before pulling away. "Now, wh-where is he? We have to- oh," Scott nearly falls over when something crashes into him. He looks down and gasps when he sees that it's actually Mitch. "Mitch! Oh my God!" Scott wraps his arms around Mitch and hugs onto him tightly. "God, don't ever runaway like that again." He falls onto his knees and pulls Mitch close to him.
Mitch sobs as he buries his face in Scott's chest.
"Guys, come on. I know you missed each other but we have to get home now. All of us have school tomorrow and it's already past midnight. I'm exhausted and need sleep," Kirstie says tiredly.
"Come on baby," Scott says as he pushes himself up, pulling Mitch up with him.
Mitch gasps and holds onto Scott, and looks over at Kirstie with sad eyes. "You p-p-promise you w-won't take S-Scott aw-away?" He asks as a couple of tears fall out of his eyes.
"Only if you promise me that you're telling the truth when you say he's not hurting you?" Kistie asks.
"Scott cares about me t-too much to h-hurt me," Mitch says.
Scott smiles slightly and gently rubs Mitch's back. "He's right," he whispers before gently kissing his forehead. "I would never forgive myself if I ever hurt Mitch."
