A/N: THEY WON THEIR THIRD GRAMMY!!!

****

Valentine's Day is finally here and for once Mitch can be excited because he actually has a boyfriend! He's never had a boyfriend before therefore has never been able to celebrate Valentine's day. Mostly because he's always been terrified of his dad and what he would do.

Mitch has a little bit of money thanks to Scott giving him an allowance. He's still a teenager and he agreed to do some chores around the house because he hated not being able to pay Scott back. Doing chores makes him feel less like a burden.

"Thanks for taking me to the mall Kirstie," Mitch says excitedly as he walks into the mall with Kirstie.

"No problem. Scott is my friend and I appreciate that you want to do something nice for him,"

"Well I-" Mitch hesitates, and thinks about what he's going to say first. He keeps forgetting that Kirstie doesn't know about their relationship, Nobody knows about their relationship. "I know it's a holiday for couples and everything but I just want to do something nice for Scott after everything he's done for me."

"I think it's sweet, and Scott will appreciate it," Kirstie smiles.

Mitch grins. "Now just... what am I going to give him? Flowers obviously but I want to give him something that he'll like," he says. "I know he likes Beyonce but he literally has everything related to her!"

Kirstie laughs as she watches Mitch. "Don't stress about it Mitch. He'll love whatever you give him because you thought about him," she says. "It sounds silly but it's true. I know Scott very well."

"Can we go to the jewelry store?" Mitch asks.

"Sure," Kirstie smiles and leads the way to the jewelry store.

Mitch ends up getting a necklace for Scott that has his initials on it 'S.H.' and then he buys flowers and chocolate. He's pretty pleased with what he ended up buying considering it's his first Valentine.

"This is so much fun!" Mitch smiles as he walks around the mall with Kirstie.

"Doesn't Scott ever take you shopping?" Kirstie chuckles.

"I mean... kind of. I go to the groceries with him sometimes. But, he's really busy being a teacher and everything that we don't have time to go shopping like this."

"I guess that makes sense," Kirstie shrugs. "Anywhere else you wanna go?"

"I think I'm pretty set with what I bought," Mitch says as he glances down at the bags he's holding in his hands. "I can't think of anything else that I want to buy him."

"I think he'll really like what you bought him," Kirstie says.

"Mitch?"

Mitch stops walking and looks over, and groans when he sees Travis.

"Are you kidding me? Why are you literally everywhere?" Mitch asks, sighing. It seems even outside of school he can't escape Travis and he hates it. He just wants Travis to leave him alone for once.

"Can't get rid of me that easily babe," Travis smirks as he walks up to Mitch.

"I would back off if I were you, Mr. Bush," Kirstie warns, pushing Mitch back a little.

Travis looks up and raises his eyebrows when he sees the principal from school, and then he looks back over at Mitch. "You're hanging around the principal now?" He asks.

"She's friends with Scott. What do you expect?" Mitch asks, frowning.

"Pathetic really. Don't have any real friends so you're hanging out with the teachers?" Travis laughs. "I can't wait to tell people at school about this. You're such a loser, Mitch."

Mitch frowns. Travis is right, unfortunately. He doesn't have any friends his age. Nobody likes him and nobody will ever like him at school. Even his "friends" he hangs out with at school don't like him.

"I think you're forgetting that I'm the principal Travis. I can have you suspended if you keep this up,"

"I haven't done anything," Travis snaps as he looks over at Kirstie.

"You've done many things. I know about what you did to Mitch," Kirstie snaps back. "Now go away. We're busy and we don't need you interrupting our day."

"Why are you here by yourself?" Mitch asks curiously.

"Buying something for Jake," Travis grins. "Unlike you I actually have someone for Valentine's."

Mitch rolls his eyes and shakes his head. Little does Travis know he also has a Valentine and Mitch wishes desperately that he could rub it in his face but he would never do that to Scott. "Whatever. I've got better things to do with my time. Can we leave now?" He asks as he looks up at Kirstie.

"Of course," Kirstie nods. "Have a nice day, Travis." She grabs Mitch's arm and leads the way out.

"Why does he always have to ruin everything?" Mitch asks as they walk to the car.

"You can't let him get to you. He's just a bully with no life," Kirstie says softly.

"It's hard not to let it get to me when he literally pops up everywhere I go," Mitch mumbles.

"How about we head home and surprise Scott with these gifts?" Kirstie suggests. "It's Valentine's Day and you shouldn't be worried about bullied from school."

"I guess you're right," Mitch looks up at Kirstie and sighs sadly.

"I'm so nervous," Mitch says as he Kirstie parks her car in the driveway of Scott's house.

"Don't be," Kirstie looks over at him and gives him a reassuring smile. "Everything will be fine."

"Thank you again for doing this for me. I really wanted to do something for Scott,"

"Don't be silly," Kirstie grins as he looks over at Mitch. "It was pleasure. It was nice spending time with you outside of school. I can see why Scott adores you so much."

"Thanks-" Mitch blushes. "Yeah, it's weird that I'm friends with the principal..."

"Hey, don't listen to what Travis says," Kirstie says. "Now, why don't you go inside and surprise Scott?"

"Thanks Kirstie! I'm so excited!" Mitch says, smiling widely.

Mitch grabs his bags and slides out of the car. He waves goodbye to Kirstie then he hesitates before walking up to the porch and walking into the house. He shuts the door and walks into the living room. He looks up and gasps as he looks around. He didn't even notice the rose petals leading the way into the living room. There were candles everywhere and the room is lit dim.

"There's my sweet boy," Scott smiles as he walks into the living room, dressed nicely.

"Scotty? What is all of this?" Mitch asks as he looks around in amazement.

"What do you think?" Scott chuckles. "You think I didn't know Kirstie was taking you out?"

"You knew?" Mitch asks as his eyes widen. "It was supposed to be a surprise!"

"I know, but I also wanted to surprise you. It's our first Valentine's together and you deserve to be treated extra special. I know it's only been a few weeks but I already love you with all of my heart," Scott says.

Mitch blushes. "This is the nicest and sweetest thing anybody's ever done for me," he whispers.

Scott grins and walks over to him, and pulls him into a kiss. "I love you,"

"I love you too," Mitch says. "I got you presents!" He holds up his bags.

"That's funny because I got you presents too," Scott laughs. "Why don't we exchange them after dinner?"

"Okay, what are we having?" Mitch asks as he sets his bags down on the ground.

"Spaghetti of course," Scott says. "Do you wanna help me finish?"

Mitch smiles and claps excitedly. "Yes!" He giggles as he follows Scott into the kitchen.
