Changes.............

I know I said two more chapters, but I there's really no more for me to add to this story. I hope you enjoyed it! 

I sat in my room, thinking. Everything was organised for my surgery, but something was bothering me. Would Leilani still feel the same way about after my surgery? Would she still love me?

“Flower? What’s the matter? You look upset?”

I looked up from the book in my hands, and saw Lani in the doorway. She walked over to me and took my hand, clearly worried about me. How could I tell her what I’d been thinking? I knew she’d be upset but I just didn’t know how to tell her what I was thinking.

I turned to look at her, and bit my lip. I decided to just tell her. She would hopefully understand why I’m feeling this way.

“I’m just thinking about my surgery.”

She didn’t seem to believe that.

“Sweetie, this is more than that. I know you’re worried about it, but you know I’m gonna be here every step of the way and I’m gonna help you, I promise Serena.”

I nodded and took both of her hands in mine.

“No, I know that Leilani. It’s just...............”

“If this is about how I’ll feel about you after the surgery, you don’t to worry Serena. I’ll see you as I always have, my girlfriend who I love with all my heart.”

I looked up at her, and she smiled. I leaned in and kissed her.

“Serena, you never need to worry about that. I love you and I always will. I’m gonna be there to take care of you through everything and I mean, everything, I promise.”

I blushed thinking about that, I wasn’t sure how I felt about her being there through that. But, I knew there was nothing I could do about it.

“I know I just worry and-“

“Well, less of that and just focus on getting through this OK? It’ll be fine I promise.”

Waking up after the surgery, I could hear nurses and doctors rushing around checking on me. I opened my eyes a little, but closed them again when all I could see was a bright light. I opened them again, and saw Lani standing over me. She smiled, but I could see tears in her eyes.

She kissed my forehead, telling me everything went fine, and I passed out again when she kissed my forehead.

The next few days are a blur, with the pain medication they gave me. When they started reducing the medication, I slowly became more aware of my surroundings. Lani stayed with me through it all, never leaving my side even for a minute.

Even through the more unpleasent parts of this. I was hesitant about her being there for the diallating, but she wanted to be there. I could see it was hard for her, when I was in pain, bur she stayed.

I was eventually let out of the hospital, and the first thing Lani did was lay me down in bed and order me not to move an inch. She tried to look serious but she looked so damn cute I couldnt help it, I smiled and laughed.

“You know, if you werent recoving from surgery, I’d make you pay for that.”

“I know, Lani. But, you looked so damn cute when you done that. I’m not going to move at all, I can promise you that.”

She glared at me but smiled, and went to grab some blankets.

I lay back and waited for her, feeling a thick blanket being placed carefully over my knees and her climbing onto the bed next to me. I turned my head and kissed her forehead, smiling. She cuddled up to me, doing her best not to hurt me to much.

“Lani, I’m sore but that doesnt mean I can’t cuddle my girlfriend.”

“But, I dont wanna hurt you, Serena.”

I sighed, and decided to sit up a little bit. She looked at me, a little confused.

“Lani, I’m OK. Honestly I am. Sure, it’ll take a while to get better, but we both knew this would happen. Just relax a little, if something hurts I’ll tell you I promise. But, if you wanna cuddle then we’ll cuddle. Trust me, that doesn’t hurt.”

She nodded and I lay back down. Soon, it was time for her to help me with the diallating. She hated to see me in pain, but she knew I needed to do this.

She cringed when she saw me wince, and apologised as she helped me, but I shook my head and just focused on her.

When it was over, I just looked at her and kissed her. She hugged me gently, and cuddled up to me smiling.

I was finally happy, sure it would take time for me to get better, but I finally had everything I wanted. Leilani supported me through everything, which isnt something everyone would just accept. She was there for me when I was attacked. She’d never left my side even once through all of this.

I kissed her forehead as she cuddled into my side and nuzzled my neck.

“I love you, Leilani.”

“I love you, Serena.”
