Smiling as I left therapy, I took out my phone and asked Leilani if she was home. She was and I told her I'd be home soon and that I had something important to tell her. She kept asking me what it was but I told her she'd have to wait, which she wasn't happy about.

I got home a little while later, and was wrapped up in a hug the second I walked through the door. I held Leilani close and kissed her shoulder.

"Hey, I wasn't gone for long Lani."

She just held me tight and kissed my cheek.

"I still missed you flower."

I just smiled and led her go leading her to the couch, something really important had happened at my session and I wanted to tell her. She was pretty excited and smiled at me as she took off her grey hoodie leaving her in just a grey tight shirt and some skinny jeans. Needless to say I was rather, um, distracted. She noticed me looking and laughed, sitting back down next to me.

"So, after you're done staring, what happened today?"

I blushed and she grabbed my hand.

"He, um, he signed everything for my surgery today......."

"Sweetie that's wonderful!"

She pulled me into a tight hug and held me close to her. I was pretty happy about it and I wanted to know how she felt about it.

"Yeah, he told me today. Oh and just before it my mom called she's coming over tomorrow with my dad and brother Colton."

I shook my head thinking about my brother. Yeah we fought but he's always been there for me when I needed him. He was 18, and I hadn't seen him in a while.

Leilani nodded and looked a little nervous. I squeezed her hand leaning over to kiss her.

"Everything will be fine Lani, don't worry. They all know you and like you sweetie."

"I know sweetie, I'm just so happy that you're getting that surgery, I'm gonna be here for you and do whatever you need me to do for you. I wanna take care of my girlfriend."

I blushed and pulled her into a cuddle. She cuddled into my side nuzzling my neck, and we spent the rest of the evening talking about Trent had said to me.

The next day I was just getting ready when there was a knock on the door. I grabbed my hoodie and answered the door. My mom pulled me into a hug, smiling.

"Serena! How are you?"

I smiled, happy that they accepted me for who I am. My mom smiled at me, her long brown hair pulled into a ponytail. My dad was behind her, they had the same black hair which I have but my brother has black hair. He hugged me and my brother walked in behind them in a grey hoodie and some jeans. He ruffled my hair and I pushed him away.

"So, how are you Serena?"

I looked at my mom as Leilani walked out, and she stood next to me nervously, biting her lip.

"I'm doing great and I have something to tell you, well two things. But, mom, Leilani and I are dating."

My mom gave me a, 'does she know?,' look and I nodded making her very happy. Leilani was wrapped up in three hugs and warned by my little brother to look after me. I punched him, and Leilani shook her head.

"You're worse than Mitch and I, Serena."

I laughed and stopped fighting with him, walking over to her and grabbing her hand.

"You said you had two things to tell us though?"

I nodded and told them what Trent had said. They were so happy for me, wanting to know when it was going to happen. I looked at Leilani and she was looking a little uncomfortable, so I decided to ask her about that when they left which wasn't long after they arrived seeing as Colton had forgotten about something he had to do for school and only remembered when he was laying on my couch.

I closed the door and walked over to Leilani and slipped my arms around her waist, kissing her shoulder.

"You looked uncomfortable when they asked about my surgery Lani."

She turned around with my arms around her and kissed me.

"Sweetie you know it doesn't bug me at all, I want you to be happy, I just hate the idea of you being in so much pain and it's bugging me a little honestly."

I sighed and brought her up to my room, laying her head down in my lap, it always helped to relax her if I did this and ran my fingers through her hair.

"Lani, I'll be alright OK? Sure I'll be sore for a while but this is something I've been wanting for years and I-"

"Serena, me not liking the idea of you being in pain doesn't mean I don't want you to get the surgery, I'm like anyone else. I don't want to see the person I love in any sort of pain, but I know this is something I need to support you with and that's why I promised to take care of you. I'll do anything you need me to do for you, flower."

I leaned down and kissed her nose.

"I know, I'd be the same if you're in any sort of pain, Lani. But, once I recover everything'll be fine."

"And you'll finally be happy with the body you have sweetie."

She sat and looked at me, she had told me before that she didn't care of I ever got that surgery as long as I was happy, which I had'nt expected at all. Hell, I'd expected her to run when she found out I was different.

But, she didn't she just kissed me and told me that she didn't care, which meant a lot to me, I never thought someone would care for me that way because I'm different and she just proved me wrong.

She cuddled into my side, putting on a movie and kissing my neck lightly. I shivered a little and she just pulled the blanket over us, thinking I was cold. I didn't say anything, (I was thankful I'd changed into over sized sweats when my parents had left, lets just put it that way), and wrapped my arms around her.

"I love you, flower."

"I love you, Lani."

OK, so next chapter is gonna be her waking up from the actual surgery (apologies to Saint Valentine who is a little squemish), which may seem a little confusing but I need it to work out that way for this story to work. There's just two more chapters left of this, surgery and the epilogue.
