Chapter 6: What am I doing here? : Dorian: Feb 20, 4995

I just keep following this guy I just met. Based on the lights and sirens, I think they are out to kill me. Have I been discovered? No, that would be a lot less painful, much quicker. No, I'm in this box for some minutes with 3 other men mostly in silence, and against our or at least my will. The doors open and these huge objects, smooth to the touch, look humanoid in shape but also looks like raindrops put together, 1 right side up and the other one upside down, both combine together. There were multiples of these raindrop figures, 6 of them, put together into a human. And yet they were many times the size of a human, no idea how much.

One of the guards points me to some stuff to wear. But they are just boxes to wear. I don't know what goes where. I'm putting stuff on and I'm getting laughed at for it. I experiment on 2 of the boxes for where they go. And the guard not talking to Flynn says "oh for the love of, that doesn't go there! Do you want me to help?"

Flynn pretends I don't really exist. Suddenly I'm getting things shoved on me. It's awkward to move at all. Suddenly I turn green and so does one of those metal things. I can barely breathe or move and I just fall down. And the ground shakes beneath me. I watch as Flynn just leaves me on the ground and walks into this humanoid thing like this is normal. The guards just walk away, one of them just says "You are pathetic Reaux. I hear you are this bad-ass, got your rank twice as fast as most people, and yet, you are eagle ranked for these mech. You cheated, I will write to your Dad asking to demote you after this pathetic display, you can't even move." Next, he kicks me in the face and I can't feel my jaw anymore as both guards walk to the elevator laughing at me.

To my right I see a hole in the ceiling open up and the huge thing being brought up through the hole in the sky. This thing on what I would call a knee. The lights turn off, as I'm left here on my belly in complete blackness. I need to move. I need to get off the ground. Everything is still so heavy, can't breathe. I refuse to die here.

I throw my left hand over me with momentum. I can breathe better, I just lay there and breathe for a second. Figuring out how to do this better, I reach around for a wall, for a pole anything, prodding, and feeling. I find lockers, there's my wall. I roll twice more, thrusting my arms. The ground rolling and shaking as I do, I can only move one part of my body at a time. The whole time I feel the floor scraping and rumbling as I do.

I feel so useless. I'm able to feel everything, from far above me, as well small debris, starting to fall from the ceiling. I will die here if the floor falls in. I hit my hip on accident and suddenly I can move freely again. These things on me are still cumbersome.

I sit up, as comfortable as I can, and the lights turn back on. I look around at everything. I need to figure out everything really quickly. I see a closet, that Flynn was near. I go to it and try to pick up one of the weapons; I choose a sword, that's about it because I can't figure out how to get the gun off the rack. I think I'm ready to go to my thing, just like Flynn did, except my mech is on the ground and he made it turn back on after he got in it, so I have to do the same.

I walk up to the thing and the platform comes out automatically. I just walk into it. It's just this dark, empty void. I'm as ready as ever. I hit my hip again. I turn green and everything around me turns green, I'm in a green sea of nothingness, and I fly into the hole I just came out of into the ground, my back to what has become a wall. And I slam into the wall and I feel nothing, things have just gotten back to being heavy, but this time, I can breathe and I can move, like I'm underwater, so it's very sluggish moving, but it's easier than before.

I suddenly see a video of one of these things on the ground. I figure it's mine. I move my right arm, my left arm. My legs, this is indeed, the video of what I'm doing. Above that video, I see another video above it, but it's just white. I move my hand and sword in front of my face. And there is a sword in front of my face on a screen. I try to stand up. And it's slow, but I can do it. I walk to a very large mark on the floor. I put my footprints on the ground, best I can, and I look up, and a hole in the ceiling opens up. And I'm headed for it. I see another "mech" as I can see written in the corner of both screens.

They are moving much faster, than what I move. So this is going to be interesting. I come up, standing up. I can barely keep up with what's going on. I see Flynn because he is the one with a sword and they are right on top of him. He is doing what he can to stop them, they are hitting him occasionally, but just as often they are hitting each other. I'm just trying to run to them and it says I'm moving 14kph, meanwhile, I'm trying to move as fast as I can. They are moving much faster. I see on my overhead display when I do see them. They are moving 70kph, 80kph, instances of 340kph. They are insanely strong to move that fast, I can't even imagine.

I see on screens that one is approaching me, very quickly, and I'm starting to put my hands up to protect myself. Very slowly, this is going to be close. He approaches ever closer. I panic and jump to the ground with my hands up, still holding the sword. He runs right through my sword. My arms get knocked down and it hurts my shoulders really bad, as I slid on the ground. I look at the screens to find the guy. His mech is cut in half, vertically. And next to his mech is a man cut in 2, almost in half. He is just oozing blood, and everything else. I'm supposed to be the prince, I'm sure this will be overlooked.

I focus on what else is going on. And Flynn and the other guy just walk up to me. The other guy just takes a knee and I see him entering out slowly through the mech. Flynn takes his sword and puts it through a slot I had seen but largely ignored on the right leg. The sword fit perfectly in there. The guy acted like this was normal keeping on both knees.

20 guys come from nowhere and tackle the guy who came out of the mech. Flynn takes a knee in his mech and his mech opens up and he comes out. I take a knee, but can't get the door to open. I turn off my suit with my hip. And it's still not opening. I'm trying to find all the walls and I'm shut in I can't get out. I just sit down because there's nothing I can do. I hear hissing under where I'm sitting. And I'm going down. I see the arena, I've been in, it is absolutely huge, I can't see the edge. But I'm getting a handshake from someone. I'm not really paying attention to what he's saying.

But I do hear Flynn say "He has brain damage and is having issues with his muscles again. He hasn't started retraining or muscle recovery. Please don't discipline him for the murder of General Tso. He knows not what he does."

And I'm taken by the hand by Flynn and we start walking to one of the edges. "We need to get back home or to the medical bay. It's about 3200 I'm going to show you where you will be living, you will probably have to get up early tomorrow for debriefing."
