The last couple weeks have been incredible. Teaching a village military drills. Fully understanding everyone's powers. And best of all I discovered that Malone has two powers, he can turn invisible for short periods of time and he has very fast regeneration, he healed in ten days instead of six weeks like I thought it would take him.
On day twelve he walks up to me, stumbling but he still walks to me.
"Dorian."
I excuse myself and let Flynn take over my position in a speech and training. "Check you out Malone, you can walk and talk."
"I would like to talk with you."
"How good can you walk?"
"Not well"
"Let's go back to your place real quick."
We start walking involuntarily he is holding onto me and he looks at me, "I'm not quick yet. I've slowed down from lethargy from resting for days. I'm tired of resting.
"Well I heard that you can turn invisible"
"Yes, I can."
"Why did you hide it?"
"You come by twice during my time here and you treat me like an enemy to be interrogated. I am starting to understand your way of life now, you're not some plague to be eradicated. I don't care that the longer you are around here the more thinking is like like real speaking." He tears up a little bit, "I don't care that you can't have a thought to yourself because everyone can read them. It's gotten me a Solus Amare, there's no real word for it, it's the phase before what I would call a wife."
"So what do you want to do?"
"I can't move fast right now; I have to start working out again."
"We don't have time for that."
"I know. I want to volunteer my services to you. Right now all I can think of is maybe holding your daughter's shoulder while she teleports all over the place. If I make both of us invisible, then maybe there won't be that white flash left behind or that flesh colored streak going in the route she might be going."
"I might be able to use that. Let me come back to you in a few hours, right now she is sleeping."
