[Alan]

I sigh, looking in the mirror and letting my ears fall flat in my hair.

It's not exactly the glamour life being a hybrid. It's not easy hiding cat ears that poke out of my hair, a tail that twitches on it's own, and fangs that poke out when I talk.

Thankfully I live a lonely life, which saves me a lot of explaining.

I sigh looking out the window of my apartment, just to see it lightly raining outside.

I got lucky with my housing place. I live on the top floor of this apartment building that looks out over the New York skyline. Everyone is mesmerized by the view, but I suppose seeing it every day I get used to it.

I walk over to the mirror by the door and let my ears fall flat before pulling my hood up. I tuck my tail up in my jacket and hope for the best as I grab my keys off the ring and walk out

I move a piece of ginger hair out of my eyes as I walk through the rain, pulling my jacket tighter around me.

I walk about a block down the street, staring down at the wet sidewalk, before running right into someone.

I fall straight back onto the wet ground, and just to my dismay my hood falls down and my ears perk up.

I stand up and scramble to pull my hood up and look up at the culprit, hoping his didn't notice my ears even though I highly doubt he didn't.

He's much taller than myself and is covered in tattoos. His hair is styled up into a sort of quiff.

His eyes are wide as he stares down at me.

"Holy shit you're a hybrid," he breathes.

I take a sharp intake of air, recognizing the scent he gives off.

"And you're a werewolf. Now get away dumb dog," I say, tilting my chin up and going to walk away, grateful that this didn't go as bad as it could, considering there are people out there hunting me.

He spins around and grabs my wrist. I hiss at him, baring my fangs before yanking my small wrist out of his large hands.

He goes to say something, but I can feel eyes burning into me. I glance behind me to see a man in a suit talking on a phone with an accomplished look as he stares at me.

He's one of them.

I glance up at the taller boy. "Run," I whisper at him before taking off.

The man in the suit takes off after me- or both of us, if he can tell what that other boy is.

I hear footsteps close behind me and every animal instinct if mine kicks in.

I jump up on a raised ladder, barley hanging on before kicking my legs up and climbing up as fast as I can, skipping steps and hoping I don't slip.

The wind and rain cause my hood to fall down and my tail fell out the second I started running.

The sudden feeling of a hand grabbing my tail causes me to hiss, and look down just to see the suited man desperately trying to keep a grip on me.

I slid my tail up, holding it to my back and continue to bound up the ladder, but right before I reach the top he grabs my ankle and the, already slippery bars become three times as slick and I loose my grip.

I fall and twist and writhe through the air, trying to twist around so I'll land on all fours. I manage to land on all fours and smile, standing up and dusting myself off.

I look up at the man still at the top of the ladder, before flipping him off and grinning.

I pull my hood up and tuck my tail in, before making my way home, not bothering to get groceries.

I'm not risking anything else today. I've gotten lucky this time.

Wow new story, yay!
This one's actually on an update schedule, unlike literally anything else I've written, so that's cool
