Lynn

"Stay here, Kellin," I mumble, before getting up and walking over to Austin and Alex, noticing Shayley, quickly recovering from when Alex kicked him.

"Are we done bickering ladies?" I ask bitterly. "Or are we going to let Alan die on the floor?"

Austin quickly turns around with his eyes switching to yellow, looking at Kellin who's sitting with Alan, watching for any faultering in breathing or anything else out of the ordinary.

He turns back to Shayley, who's now standing, and bites his lip. We all know that if he goes after Shayley there's a good chance he'll kill him, but he's so scared.

I huff at both Alex and Austin's lack of movement. Out of the corner of my eye I see Shayley begin to move, obviously wanting out before he can face the consequences.

I scrunch my nose up in annoyance and immediately run after him before he can get away.

I tackle him to the ground and pin him down with my claws in his shoulders. He winces as the blood seeps through his shirt.

"Now we can talk about this," he says. "Just get your claws out of my-" he winces again as he try to move "-shoulders."

I shake my head, adding more pressure and curling my hand so the claws go deeper.

"As if I'd just let you go after what you did. You better hope it's not left up to me to kill you," I say.

"Lyndsey, get back," Austin warns, moving closer.

I ignore and eventually I'm yanked back by the collar of my shirt and away from Shayley.

The blood drips down his shoulders as he gets up. I glance behind me to notice Alex now by Alan and Kellin nowhere to be seen.

As expected, thanks to Austin, Shayley tries to run. And he knows he can run faster than all of us.

Austin growls and changes to a wolf and goes after Shayley. He makes it just a foot away from the door, but doesn't make it out as Kellin drops down from the ledge that he mastered walking silently across, and right infront of Shayley's one exit.

"Going somewhere?" Kellin hums.

Shayley turns to run the other way, but finds Austin snarling, and he turns one more direction to find me, stepping up with my already bloodied hands.

"Nowhere to go, Shay?" I ask sweetly, smiling at him. He scowls at me, but it suddenly switches. "Yeah, nowhere to go," he holds his hands up.

In the blink of an eye, he makes it right past Austin, honestly unsurprisingly, and in a split second he's next to Alan and Alex.

With a swift kick to the side, Alex is laying on his side clutching his ribs.

"Doesn't feel nice, does it?" He spits.

He puts a foot on Alan and rolls him onto his back, before placing his foot on Alan's throat.

"Now then," Shayley says. "If the ginger wants to stay alive-"

He's cut off by Alex growling and taking his claws and dragging them from Shayley's hips all the way down, leaving streets of red to pool on the ground.

"You stupid, cat!" He manages to kick Alex right underneath his eye before Austin knocks Shayley to the ground.

Alex doesn't hesitate to get up, still holding his ribs and move out of the way as quickly as he can.

Shayley bites Austin's leg, sinking his fangs into the flesh, earning a yelp.

Alan picks a brilliantly perfect time to wake up as he rolls over, placing the soft pads of his hands on the ground. This catches Shayley's attention and an evil grin flashes across his face.

He jumps up, but not before I get over and yank him back by his collar.

Alan's eyes go wide as Austin stands over him protectively. His eyes dart to each of Austin's massive paws standing right in line with his neck.

With struggle Alan rolls over onto his stomach with the pads of his hands scratching against the rough cement.

Shayley stands in front of Austin with his nose scrunched up, revealing his fangs.

Austin growls, baring his own fangs, showing his tongue poking between his teeth.

"What happened Austin?" Shayley asks. "How did we end up like this?"

Austin begins to drool involentarily and Alan, notices and moved back a bit, but not before it drips on him, causing him to almost gag.

I silently move around without being noticed and when I'm finally standing right behind Shayley, I meet eyes with Austin.

Shayley notices and his eyes go wide but in a split second, I grab him by the throat and Austin jumps at him, earning a scream and a few muffled screams and incoherent noises until everything goes silent.

Alan is shaking with his face hidden in his arms. I yank Austin away from the lifeless body by his ear, earning a pained yelp.

Funny how he can literally tear someone to shreds, but yelp the second I yank him by the ear.

Kellin and Alex run over and lift Alan's shaking body up from underneath his arms.

As expected Alan looks at the bleeding body on the ground and yelps before his eyes roll back into his head and he goes completely limp.

Alex groans. "Here, hold this," he says, laying Alan over Austin's back, supporting him.

"We can't go back through the city to get home," I say quietly. "We have one horribly beaten boy, a blood soaked wolf and we all have blood on our hands. And there's no other way home."

"I'll call Jack, Zack and him can come get us, but in the mean time, I'm not staying in this building," Alex says.

We all hum in agreement. We ended up just leaving Alan on Austin's back and left him to carry the limp boy because no one else wanted to.

Within fifteen minutes a car pulls up and both Zack and Jack jump out running over to us. Jack looks disgusted at the blood underneath Alex's nails and on his hands, but kisses him anyway.

We manage to all fit in the car with Austin refusing to change out of his wolf form, taking up two seats with Alan resting against him in the far back. Kellin, Alex, and Jack are sitting in the next row up, and me sitting in the front seat with Zack driving.

Both Alex and Kellin manage to fall asleep on the short ride home with Alex practically laying on Jack and Kellin laying with his face against the cold window.

I think long day could be considered an understatement now. And I can't help but wonder what's going on in Austin's mind. He killed Shayley, killed the one person that loved him before he changed, that can't sit too well on the heart. I also think the reason he refused to change back to human when Jack and Zack finally showed up was because it would make it all real. The blood on his hands would prove what he did. And I wouldn't he ready to see that either if I was him.

We finally make it back home and Austin carries Alan in on his back again and we all trudge back into the house.

I walk inside and wash my hands, spending almost ten minutes cleaning out from underneath my nails, which was awful.

I finally finished and walked back to our room with a yawn to find Tay curled up in the sheets with Nova sleeping softly as well. I smile at them, noting how much Nova looks like Alex with an annoyed sigh, before laying down with them.
