[Alan]
~A week later~
I take heavy breaths as I let my eyes roll back a bit, honestly wishing he would do something and accidentally kill me.
I've been shocked, beaten, and overall broken, but yet I still manage to bite my tongue and keep quiet.
Although I have figured out why I'm allowing this to happen, it's not for Austin, it's for Alex and Tay and Lyndsey and Kellin, who are all safe and living in comfort. Why should I allow something as terrible as this to happen to them? I can't risk them taking Lynn and Tay's baby.
I've yet to learn the man in the lab coats name, but one day I'm sure he'll regret doing this.
"Alright, we're done for today," he says, scowling at me. "Boys, get him out of here."
I know he's expecting me to break, but he can kill me before I put any of them at risk.
They unbuckle the restraints on my wrists and feet and I get up.
My feet scrape against the ground and my tail drags on the dirty floor as we walk through the halls. My ears don't really stand up anymore and that's probably because there's a bit missing out of one where he cut it off.
Every day when I walk back in that stripped haired boy looks at me sadly and shakes his head.
As I walk into my tiny cage I curl up on the floor, not knowing how much more of this I can really handle.
I ended up falling asleep on the cold ground, but suddenly woke up to someone messing with the door to my cage.
I sit up quickly and met face to face with the striped hair boy opening the door to my cage. He motions for me to be quiet by holding a finger to his lips and smiles before the cage door swings open.
I stare in shock, wondering why someone who doesn't even know me is helping me like this.
He motions for me to step out, and I simply do, but it's hard for me. Everything is aching from sleeping on the ground and being hit and everything inbetween.
He helps me stand up and smiles at me when I finally manage to stand up straight and move correctly.
He grabs my hand and starts to run and I trail behind, every bone and joint aching from the sudden movement.
He manages to navigate the maze of this building and the second fresh air hits me I feel a million times better.
He leads me to the edge of a forest that surrounds the giant building and leans against a tree.
"Would now be a good time to introduce myself?" He asks.
I nod a bit, honestly wondering what the hell is going on.
"Well I'm Jack and I watched Austin blatantly leave you behind, he kicked open my door, but I moved it so it appeared to be still locked and they never suspected a thing. I waited till the right time get out, let you out, and here we are," he says.
I blink at him a couple times trying to process everything. How does he know Austin?
"Now come on, I have someone coming to get us," he says before pushing himself up off the tree and beginning to walk.
He grabs my hand and we walk through the thick woodland. My ears are constantly twitching back and forth, an ongoing feeling that we're being followed or watched.
After awhile of silent walking, and an ever growing fear and confusion the trees open up to reveal a dirt road.
I stand next to him with his hand still in mine in a protective mannor as we stand in the middle of the dirt road. Within a minute or two headlights come into view, sorta blinding me as two silhouettes jump out of the car and run over to us.
"Jack you're a genius. I can't believe you're out!" A boy I don't recognize says coming over and hugging Jack.
Jack lets go out of my hand and I feel unsafe and scared as another boy I don't recognize leans down a bit to look at me and gasps.
"Jack," he says Jack lightly to get his attention. "This one doesn't look so good."
Jack looks at me and bites his lip, like he's deciding on what to do.
I didn't notice how dizzy I was and the fact that I was swaying until I finally stumbled and nearly fell to the dirt.
Jack catches me and holds me up.
"Zack, carry him and we can take him back to your place, is that okay?" Jack asks looks up at the boy who he was talking too previously.
"Zack" -or whatever his name is- nods and picks me up.
The last thing I remember is Jack waving his hand infront of my face and his eyes going wide and him yelling something. It sounded like he was yelling: "Don't let him fall asleep!"
