Four months ago....
We received GREAT NEWS at the office today. Our publishing company was number 1 in the U.S.! I through a small party today to celebrate. I really appreciate the support from my employees and all those who helped us get to this point. Tonight we were going to share the success.Anthony's p.o.v.***
My girl Hannah woke me up to her fussing and cussing. I looked at the clock and it was 4am. She had to be to work for 5 so she was used to being up early. I wasn't, and I was heated because she was going off for no reason. She was mad because I didn't answer my phone for her when she called last night. "You must be laid up with that chick." That's what I had to hear at 4am. I was so faithful to Hannah. I loved her so much and I had plans on proposing to her on her birthday. She always did this to me. If EVERYTHING didn't go the way she wanted it to then there would be a problem.
We had been dating for 4 years now. Her birthday would make five. That was apart of the reason why I was proposing on that day. Two months ago when I came up with the idea she wasn't this bad with the foolishness. I couldn't figure out what had changed in the last 2 months to make her act this way with me. We had always been the lovey dovey type of couple where you couldn't see one without the other. Lately, I been second guessing myself about this whole marriage thing if she was going to continue to act foolish for know reason.
"Wake up Anthony! Don't play sleep. You here me talking to you. I know you was with some chick last night." With sleep all over me, I yarned and barely found strength to speak. Baby, please calm down. I wasn't with nobody. Why do you keep saying that? "Uhm hum, I know you lying and I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Get up and come take me to work." Why do I have to take you to work? Why can't you drive your own car? Baby, I'm tired and I don't feel like getting up. "You must have had a date with her" she mumbled under her breath thinking I didn't here her. What you said, I asked? "Nothing. I need you to take me to work because it's raining. You know I don't like to drive in the rain especially if I don't have to." Alright Hannah.
My girl had been really tripping lately to the point where my family and friends even started noticing it. Each time they mentioned it I was at her deffence. I was starting to think maybe they were right though. I didn't know if she was unhappy or what the case was, but I had a plan to find out. I kind of had a bad feeling that she may have been cheating on me. What ever was being done in the dark would definitely come to the light.
To be honest I loved my girlfriend, but I also had feelings for Alisha. I thought about her all day and night. All the "what if's" would just hit me. She didn't know it, but I had my eye on her. I wasn't the dog type of dude to mess with several women at a time. I was willing to wait as long as possible for her if she would just give me a chance. We were best friends and I didn't want to ruin that, but she was everything.
When we were in high school she was the baddest girl. Alisha was shy and she stayed to herself. You never caught her in any mess or drama. She was very conservative and she didn't flaunt because she knew she was cute and all that. She stayed on the honor roll and she participated in everything in school. She also graduated valedictorian of her class. All the other fine girls had to stunt and show off what they had. Not Alsiha though. She was different and that made me curious.
I drug myself to the bathroom, used it, and brushed my teeth and washed my face. I put on some clothes and took Hannah to work. I tried to do anything to keep her from nagging.
My alarm went off at 7. I got up and took a hot shower before getting dressed for work. Alisha called and said we had something going on today and it would be a chill day so we didn't have to dress in our work attire. I really didn't want to wear jeans and tennis shoes. I had a few short sleeved button down shirts with the matching pants. I picked out the all white one and put it on.
