The light has never looked more Dark to him , he sighed as he watched his sister try to hide her tears
"Ali stop crying you know I feel whatever you feel" he said simply looking at her
"But daddy said-"
"Don't listen to him ... We have to be strong"
"Yeah I know, ... But daddy said-"
"No Ali no crying in front of mommy" he said and she nodded wiping her eyes as he opened the room door.
The light has never looked more Dark to him, he forced a smile as his mother turned to look at him
"Well if it isn't my brave little twin" she said as she pushed her body up, he looked to his sister wondering if she heard the soft groan of pain their mom just made.
She was standing there biting her bottom lip as she tried to keep the tears a bay and he knew he was sharing his bed tonight again... He sighed and walked up to his mother
"I found some Shadow rose on the other side Mom, but dad said taking them over would be dangerous" he simply said hating the fact that he was forced to, Ali tugged on his shirt and he blushed forgetting she felt whatever he felt
"Sorry" he mumbled looking away and he heard the weakest laughter escaped from his mother , the weakest she's ever done since he's known her.
"My little twin kids, promise me you'll look out for each other " she said and they nodded with a grin
"I'll protect her mommy.... I'll protect you too" saying the last part with a bit more seriousness. She smiled and pulled him closer to her , wincing as she did
"Never let anything define or rule you, You two were the only ones born without chains...." She started coughing and the light has never looked more Dark to him "Faith doesn't make your stories ... You're stories make faith whatever it needs to be so you keep doing what you want" she said and Jaheem felt himself crying and he sighed, pulling Alijah closer to him cause the only way he would stop is if she did...
The coughing got worst and the doctors came and the Light has never looked more Dark to him ... Than it did that day
