The words played on his mind as he walked home. Jaheem could sense it, this inability to come to terms with all of this.
Slowly his surroundings began to fade and his breathing slowed, felt as if he was floating and then his surroundings weren't his own"Look lady you said a week a week ago today's May 1 2017, your week is up, just pack up your things and move to the loft down the road that's all I'm asking" the owner said and Jaheem felt the fear in her... Or was it him as he realized that the time was one week from today, and if this memory is one week old what does that mean for her, where the hell was she
"Look he's not here yet but ... But I know he'll be here" she said looking behind her and he sighed
"Then tell him to meet you by the loft down the road" he said and she sighed, she realize there was no more convincing this man to wait, the family was bringing in bigger money , if she was looking at this technically she would have done the same exact thing , she sighed and moved to the already packed bags, the last tin of glow paint and sighed
Well they're gonna have a hell of a time sleeping is all she knew she thought as she walked through the doors
The breath slowly returned to Jaheem and before he noticed it he was standing in front of his house not really recalling how he got there.
He was alone, Dianna must have went somewhere he thought, she still didn't know he was up and about after all" what now?" Alijah asked and he looked at how twisted that question was
There was no way he could have answered that question without sounding as if he was cheating on Dianna, he sighed falling front first on the bed.
He knew what he had to do, it was just the matter of if he wanted to do it"Uh for once Jaheem and think of someone but yourself!"
Was he really just thinking of himself, hr sighed he didn't have to think too hard on the answer. He sighed and looked out the window.
There was one way he could be sure of all of this, one way he didn't want to try for as long as she was alive, because not only will he be able to see whatever she was in that moment she would feel everything he was feeling and she would know... She would know that he knew she was alive, that she was out here and he ... He ignored her, but that wasn't thr worst of it.
He would-
"Jay, you're up, why didn't you call me... How are you? Are you hungry" she asked checking every visible spot on his body and he chuckled and pulled her into his arms"Yes Dy, I'm fine... I didn't mean to scare you that way" he said and she sighed and pulled him tighter, she was crying
"I thought... I thought that because of everything, because of me you..." She said and he sighed, he really was being selfish, she was hurting way more than .... He sighed, how was she going to fix this . This was the last thing he wanted . He wanted Dianna this he was certain, he lived her more than anything else in the world ... More than himself. Cassie... Cassie was a stranger, she knew nothing about him. He sighed
"Are you OK?" She asked
"Yeah just hungry" he lied, how could he tell her that he was thinking of looking for the very person that puts her on edge the most, how would he tell her that the moment they meet, the sync will commence because of the long wait ...
"What is it ?" She asked and he looked at her as she slowly removed herself from his embrace and he saw the slight hurt in her eyes the one she has been trying to hide for a while and he looked around the house.
He doesn't think that he's ever taken notice of the house they shared, it didn't have much it was pretty much everything in one, the bedroom was right as you entered the house, Dianna's great idea, to help him reach bed the minute he got home, the Kitchen was to the left, again Dianna original as she said the kitchen should be close to the bed so he could get breakfast in bed, and the living room... Well that wasn't much, there anotherwas a small live seat, no Television set, he felt that those were all overrated, there was nothing but a small radio which they played every now and again. And the dining room, it a as made just for two and if they decided to have over Adam and Ali then they could add two more chairs... But everything , everything was made for them by them.
