Chapter 1

She was packing, and quickly too, she had to get away but he couldn't read from what, The room was bright, all the lights were on.
She wrapped a black scarf around her neck covering her mouth and pulling the hoodie over her head, she added the shades she been holding on to as if it was a weapon, she grabbed her duffle and walked to the door checking behind her twice before leaving...

Jaheem stared at the ceiling waiting for the feeling that always followed the flashes ... Annoyance... But that wasn't the case this time, he felt nothing but pure worry for the woman who's memories has been invading his thoughts more than The woman he loved with his life, he sighed as he realized why the feeling was becoming so strong, why she seemed so familiar.
Being what he was, Faith choose who he should love, where he should be and where he can't, Faith decides everything for this race which he belonged to and he grew up watching his father playing off prison as destiny... Something to look forward to he scoffed. He was lucky enough to be one of the two only Riders that didn't have chains.

He sighed, he heard the bed shift and he turned to look if the loud thinking he was having in his head woke her up she twisted and wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him closer, he smiled looking down on her

"See this is why I'm reluctant in getting out of this bed everyday" he ran his thumb over her lip slowly before pulling her into a kiss and he sighed.
Dianna has been His for 8 years now, and its been 5 years since he told her what he really was, the memory pulled a smirk on his face

"I have something to tell you Dy" Jaheem said as they sat near by the beach, she looked up at him and smiled

"I think four years being together should cancel any awkwardness between us JB " she said snuggling closer to him and he smiled, feeling the love he already had for her grow even stronger.

"I think its best I show you love," he said and she looked at him confused as he slowly got up and walked closer to the water, feeling the very feeling he always had when he switched his form to that of pure Darkness. The atmosphere got tense and he knew there was no turning back now.

"What are you doing?.... Babe .... Ba-" she was interrupted by her boyfriend becoming completely covered in Darkness, she was completely speechless. Definitely no turning back now he muttered to himself

"Babe?" He said calmly but he doubt she hears him, she was too busy wondering how he did it, and he smirked knowing he would be the only one that creates that face made

"Are.... Are you ok l? ... where ... Where are you?, you're starting to scare me" she said and he chuckled

"Trust me?" He asked

"What kinda question is that of course I do, now come out and come sit back here"

"I'm already next to you"

"What where?"

"Look down" and she did, finding two shadows beside her which she really couldn't comprehend because there was no light shining on her to cast any shadows

"Feel my touch" he asked as he touched the shadow of her hand with his

"How are you doing this talk to me please"

"I'm a Rider babe , a Shadow rider" he said

"What does that mean you can Ride shadows?"

" I suppose that's a way to put it, I become darkness itself and then I travel through darkness which are trapped in the shapes of their owners" he said
