"Behind you Jaheem!" Cassie shouted as Jaheem attacked Sal head on, his hench men... Weaklings as Jaheem likes to call them was coming at him from behind, the thought of her protecting him made him light, his movements less ridged .... He smiled.
Sal's hench men couldn't hurt him even if they wanted to all he had to do was raise his level of.... Cassie! He thought snapping his neck in her direction.
He could here Sal's laughter, he knew... He knew that if Jaheem raised his level of darkness any higher, it would possibly kill Cassie in the state that she was in, she wasn't fully healed yet and this... This wouldn't be helping. He hissed at the rock and hard place that he was trapped between at the moment
"Cassie can you hear me ? " He said ad he moved and dodged the blows each of Sal's weaklings threw at him, he was new at this but she should hear his thoughts just as how he hears hers...
"Yeah" she said and the simple fact that she heard brought him so much joy, Why thought... He sighed at the fact that another thought provoking question was added to the already high list as he moved through this battle, He tried to focus
"Do... Do you trust me?" He asked and she looked up at him and smiled
"Of course I do" She said instantly and the lack of hesitation made the largest smile play at the edges of his hidden emotions
"Good then I want you to close your eyes and sense my every movement and copy it " He said, he looked behind him at the number of men he had to deal with and sighed , he needed to do this quickly, he could feel her energy dropping. ... This would put a Toll on her
"OK... But how do I do that" She asked, he looked at her for a split second, and in that second he has never seen more trust in a person's eyes towards him in the 998 years if him being alive. . . he smiled
"Trust me" Was all he needed to say and she got it instantly something clicked between them both and he knew that she got it... No she trusted him, more than he trusted himself
"OK " she said and he didn't hesitate to place a 56th level block around his body and like clockwork she mimicked his every movement with such perfection it was as if their bodies were one. He sighed and closed his eyes
"OK, I'm going to cut all connection for a while, I'll be here, but I want you to keep your eyes closed, and focused on that barrier around you OK?" He said and he felt the fear creep up on her as she took in what he was saying, and he felt it too, maybe ... No he understood it too, and he realized that this connection between them isn't going to stay nothing .
"Oh...OK" she said shakily and he sighed and decided in that moment to end it all in no more than five seconds .
Sal lunched at him as he realized what he was about to do, but it was too late, he raised the level of darkness release and instantly his hench men became absorbed and Sal started to get weakened
"Damn Shadow rider with your freakish water fall of darkness!" He shouted lunging himself at him and pulled on Sal's darkness slowly engulfing and converting it.
He sighed as he saw the last of Sal vanished
"Don't think this is over Shadow rider" he shouted as he vanished and Jaheem looked over to Cassie that was following his instructions down to the last detail, he smiled and walked over to her. As he reached in distance, her defense mechanism realize that he wasn't a treat and instantly the barrier shattered and she fainted
"Thank you for trusting me... Now let's get you to my sister" He said as he lift her, she tugged on his shirt
"You're here, you came" she muttered and he chuckled
