There was no way Jaheem could walk through those doors the way he was, and after 10 laps around the neighbourhood nothing changed.
Jaheem felt himself trapped and that wasn't a feeling he was too acquainted with and he liked it when that was the case, he looked to the sky, the stars had faded, it looked as though in the next 5 hours or so the sun was gonna make its way over the mountains. He wasn't sure when or how but he found himself on the porch of his sister's house and he sighed at himself. So you were good enough to walk through your sister's house but not your own he thought as he pulled up the spare key that she kept within the left pillar of the porch.
He sighed dropping his entire body in the sofa, he saw his sister coming down

"Coffee?"

"Yeah, Dark"

"Is there any other way" she joked as she went into the kitchen, she felt it. Whatever he felt she did too... And the feeling keeping him from going into his house was strong, too strong to keep up the control they perfected after 200 hundred years.
Cassie flashed before his eyes before he even had a chance to react and he prayed she didn't...

"You Haven't been home have you" she asked and he sighed shaking his head as he took a drink of the only Darkness in a cup that really washed the worries away for him.
Jaheem watched her, she had something she wanted to say he knew she did about as much as he knew that the minute he walked through those doors of his house, he had an angry girlfriend who woke up without him next to her to deal with.
"What is it? , just spit it out and get it over with" He simply said putting the cup if Joe down on the coffee table, she looked at him with what Jaheem could only explain as hurt

"How long" she asked and he looked to the floor

"How long doesn't cut it as anything to go off from, if you asking how long I've been at it, I did 10 laps" he said and she sighed moving to the windows, then she turned to him suddenly

Alijah hurt was becoming more, the more she thought about it... it was becoming anger

How long!?"

"What" he asked as he unlaced his shoes

"How long Jaheem and don't lie to me because you know you can't"

"Sis calm down" he cooed

"No!... How. Long. " she asked between closed teeth and he sighed

"A year" He finally muttered to himself then he looked up at her, her anger fueling his own

"A Year! ... Are you happy now? Did it fix anything?Cause I sure as hell know that saying it didn't change a thing for me Al" He shouted and she cringed a little, looking at him

"Instead of shouting ask, how did I find out? Cause god knows you his it well" she laughed coldly and he sighed wondering just why he took his shoes off in a moment like this...
She knew her reaction was completely normal, but his isn't

"She's you're wick Jaheem, you can't keep ignoring it the symptoms will get worst" she said and he looked at her confused but his expression changed just as quickly as it came to one without reading

"It'll pass" he said and it sounded as if he was convincing himself and not his sister.
Finishing the last knot on his shoes he sighed and walked to the door

"Thanks for the Chat, and the Coffee sis" he said not looking back at her

"You do know that when you share everything it means everything" she said and he froze at the thought, was she being serious or was she just saying that to break his resolve of having nothing to do with her.
