I stare at the bloody bat. Why did this kill him, but not the gun? It's covered in a mix of Isogais blood and the old man's.

I'm lying down on his bed. It smells of him. I just hope he isn't actually dead. Because I love him. I love Isogai

It's been 2 days. I think It's time to put Karma in the corner, so he can decompose in peace and my little doll can be taken out of the chair.

All finished up here. She's stopped trying to resist me completely, and she responds when I talk to her! It's monotone, granted, but she's learnt her lesson.

She looks sad.

"Why are you sad, Angel? "

"I miss him."

"Him?"

"Karma."

She said that with emotion. Maybe she's snapping out of it! All of this.. It's paying off! She will come to accept me as her mother!

I lead her into the little room I had prepared in case of this. It had a small baby blue bed in the corner, and a closet with dresses, skirts, tights, shirts and skinny jeans inside. There was a desk set against the far wall, and the lamp was a string pendant I had made.

I was so proud of my handy work!

A nurse walked in.

"He's out of surgery now."

She looked nervous.  Very nervous.

"Can I see him?"

She looked down and away.

"I'm sorry..."

I ran down the corridors to stand outside the operating theatre he had been in. The doctor was walking past.

"Where is he?"

"Who?"

"Isogai! Short, dark hair? shoulder and stabs wound?"

"He's gone."

"Gone?"

I was panicking.

"He vanished. So did the old man. We have groups patrolling. We sent a nurse to tell you. People are out looking. Don't worry."

How can he say that?! You can't tell people not to worry after a rabid person stabbed their lover who has gone missing?

An old man came in carrying a dark - haired boy who was obviously in pain.

He was writhing around, his shoulder slowly rebuilding itself.

I picked him up, and dumped him next to Karma. His face was conflicted when he saw his dead companion.

This is going to be fun.
