University Of Alabama.
That's where I was going to college. Me and my best friend, Summer were accepted in May and we both freaked out when we got the letters.

"By the way, Lacey. A letter came for you in the mail today." Mom said as I stood in the kitchen fixing up some taco meat. "Oh yeah? Where from?" I asked, moving the meat around in the skillet. "I'm not sure. I think its a college letter. I have it over here." she said. I froze. A college letter?
Was it the college letter? I moved the skillet off the burner, turned off the stove and ran into the living room. "Here you go sweetie." she said, handing me the envelope over her shoulder. I grabbed it and read the top left corner. Oh my gosh! I ran upstairs and into my bedroom, still gripping the envelope. I grabbed my cell phone off the nightstand and pressed Summer's contact in my list.
The phone started ringing and it wasn't too long before she answered. "Hey!" she said, excitedly as soon as she answered. "Did yours come too?" I asked, impatiently. She let out a shrill squeal and I took that as a yes. "I'll be over in two minutes and we can open them." she said before hanging up. I slipped the phone in my back pocket and ran down the stairs.
When I reached the bottom, I threw open the front door and saw Summer crossing the street. We lived right across the street from each other; 9 and 11 Cherry Hill Road. "Lace, I can't handle the suspense!" Summer shouted from the middle of the street. I nodded quickly. "Come on, hurry up." I said before slipping my finger under the edge of the envelope opening. She stopped in front of me and grabbed the edge of her envelope. "3, 2, 1, Open!" We both shouted, tearing into our envelopes and pulling out the letters.
"We are proud to say that," I began to read. "You have been accepted to," Summer continued. "The University of Alabama!" We both squealed at the same time. She grabbed my hands and we started jumping around like crazy people. "What is going on over here?" Mom asked, walking up to the door. "We got accepted!" We yelled.

We were leaving for campus tomorrow morning and I could not be more excited. How many people get to go to their dream college with their best friend as their roommate? Not many! I couldn't wait to get there and meet so many new people and see new things.
The rest of our lives are officially starting tomorrow.
