"Summer? Let's go! We're gonna be late!" I yelled from the car. It was move in day at University of Alabama and we were leaving at 7:00am. Well, we were supposed to. However, Summer took 7:00am as 7:30am. A few seconds after I yelled, she came running out of her house carrying her handbag in one hand and dragging her suitcase along behind her with the other.

"I'm here, I'm here." she said as she pushed the handle of her suitcase down and lifted it into the trunk of the car. I laughed as she slammed the door to the trunk and ran around to the passenger side door. "Hey! Ready to get on the road?" I asked as she dropped her bag on the floor at her feet and pulled out her seat belt. She nodded and fastened the belt. "Alright, to Alabama!" I said, starting the car and pulling away from the curb.

"Oh my gosh! We're here! We're really here!" Summer squealed as we pulled into the parking lot of the Main Office building at noon on the dot. Summer and I got out of the car and as I looked up and saw the campus, I froze. "Wow..." I said, just barely above a whisper. "Right?" Summer said at the same volume as she walked up beside me. "This campus is incredible!" we said simultaneously. We both laughed and turned to the front of the main building.

"Alright, let's do this." she said as she stepped forward toward the doors of the building in front of us. We walked into the building and saw a large, semicircular desk in the middle of the room. The walls of the room were lined with large doors that I supposed lead to other, smaller offices. We walked up to the desk and began speaking to the woman behind it. "Hello, we're here for registration." Summer said.

"Of course, freshmen or returning?" the woman asked. I told her freshmen and she began typing on the computer in front of her. After we finished getting registered, we found the way to our dorm building and began unloading things from the car to the dorm. It didn't take too long before we were done, since we were provided large carts to carry all our things. "Alright, that's the last of it." Summer said, placing a box on the floor next to one of the beds and turning to me.

I looked at her and a huge grin began to spread across my face. "We're in college!" I shouted, jumping toward her and grabbing her hands. We jumped around for a little bit before calming down and sitting on our beds, which were still just unmade mattresses. "Wanna go to the activities fair down in the quad?" Summer asked, standing up. I nodded. "Sure! Let's go explore." I winked, jumping off the bed and heading out the door.

As we walked into the quad there were a ton of booths for different clubs and services. "Woah, there's so much going on here." I said, looking around. "Lacey, come look at this." Summer said from one of the booths. I walked over and looked up at the large banner above the booth. It read 'University of Alabama Crimson Tide Athletics'. "Ooh, sports..." I said, not entirely sure why she led me over here. Summer has always been a sporty girl. But me, not so much. I'd rather be shopping than watching any basketball or football game. I'm just that kind of person.

"Yeah, sports. Sports means...?" she said, trailing off to let me answer. I thought about it for a second and looked at her, shaking my head. "Guys! Sports means hot, college guys!" she said in a obvious tone. A bright smile appeared on my face as I finally got the point. "Ah, I see." she laughed at me and I looked down to scan some of the sports pamphlets.

Just then, a group of rather good looking guys walked up to the booth as well. There were two guys with dark brown hair and one with almost bleach blonde hair. "Hey," the blonde one said, turning to me. "Hi." I smiled. He looked back to the pamphlets and I turned to Summer. 'Holy mother of sexy!' she mouthed to me. I held in the laughter that threatened to give away our silent exchange and turned back to the guy.

"I'm Lacey." I said, holding out my hand to shake his. He flashed me the brightest smile I have ever seen and took my hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jones." he said. "Are you a freshmen this year?" he asked. I nodded. "Yeah. What about you?" I replied. "I'm a sophomore." he said. "Maybe you could show me and my friend around then?" I asked. He leaned slightly to the side to look behind me at Summer as she waved at him. He waved back and smiled, looking back to me. "I think I could do that." he said, kindly.

"Hey, Jones! Let's go, man!" one of the brunettes shouted. "I'm sorry. I've gotta go. Rain check on that tour?" he said, dropping my hand for the first time since he took it. I nodded. "Yeah, definitely." I said, smiling. He gives me one last smile before turning and walking away. He glanced back at me over his shoulder before walking out of my sight.

"Damn, girl! We haven't even been here two hours and you've already got a guy's eyes on you." Summer said. "You work fast!" she laughed. I rolled my eyes and shook my head before walking over to another booth.
