Chapter 17: Xeopra

I slowly opened my eyes, I looked around. We were inside the spaceship, Parker wasn't awake. "Parker!" I whispered as I shook him, he opened his eyes after couple of minutes I spent trying to wake him.

Now, we still don't know if we're dead in Filea, we woke up here but can we go back? We deliberately got out of the spaceship. "Hey, get Lucas. I'll wait here to press the button" I told Parker.

"Did you forget the sirens? I'll never make it back" Parker reminded me. I took a moment to envision the situation, "Well its fine, we're running away even if the aliens hear it. We can make it like the last time " I assured him.

"Aliens won't be few meters away. Plus, we know the whole place and we don't have to discover like last time." I continued. Parker swallowed the lump in his throat, and looked at me like he wanted to say something.

"Olive, if I don't come back, I need you to know I-" he said, "You will come back" I said, "Tell me whatever you want to say later ok?" I continued. I smiled, he then hugged me. I was surprised by his hug, but I held back my tears as they were trying to escape my eyes the minute he hugged me. He hid his frown as he grinned and walked away.

I sat next to the door of level three, under the button. My leg was shaking uncontrollably which helped release my anxiety. I heard some screaming so I instantly got up on my feet and waited, Parker passed in but the sensor didn't beep, there were no sirens.

I looked closely to see two aliens, one held Parker and the other held Lucas. Lucas had cadaverous appearance, his look can make the heartless cry. My eyes bugged out as I looked in shock at the situation, I tried to stay strong. The alien looked at me and wanted  me to come closer.

I sort of recognized one alien, he definitely had the largest skull among all of them, Haax. Haax held a gun and pointed it at Parker's head, while the other did the exact same to Lucas. I didn't move, I thought everything is over, I risked all of our lives. I came closer...

"Let them go" Allison said as she approached them from the back and pointed a gun toward each of their hideous skulls. She pulled the trigger of one gun only, "Damn it" I heard her whisper.

She couldn't do both at the same time, more aliens started showing up, she threw one gun at me and I instantly started shooting. Parker grabbed Lucas and pressed the button of the spaceship. They got on, I dropped my gun and started running.

"Olivia!" I heard Allison screech with pain as I hopped on the spaceship. I looked around to see Allison bleeding horribly as she laid on the floor, "What happened?" I said crying. Parker just stared, "what happened?" I said with a louder voice as I shook him.

"She...took...the bullet...for you..." Parker said in shock. "No Allison" I shrieked crying as I tried to jump from the spaceship to the ground. Parker grabbed me from my waist and pulled me back with tears in his eyes.

My heart was beating fast,I tried to process the situation as the spaceship rose slowly. "I can't see clearly" Parker said, everything was starting to disappear...

~2 months later~
I woke up, Is Lucas with us? I wondered. I looked around to see myself in what looks like a hospital, different from the one before. I got out of my bed, I opened the door to see a nurse standing at the end of the hall.

"You're awake?! You've been in a coma after a horrific car crash. There's this boy who came with you, Parker Ross, he just woke up too." She said. "Where's he?" I asked, "Room 14 dear" she replied. I ran inside and opened the door, "Parker... You remember Xeopra" I asked with nervousness waiting for the answer.

He got up from his bed and walked towards me, "Um...Yes I do remember" he answered as I felt the relief calm my heart. I hugged him, "Hey, there's someone who wants to see you!" He said as Lucas walked in.

I rushed toward him and gave him a big hug, "Gosh, I've missed you" I whispered as I started tickling him. I smiled as I saw his innocents smiles get drawn on his face, and the sound of his giggles adding the best rhythm to it. "I'll...go...eat" he said laughing, I let him go and he ran outside the room.

I looked back at Parker, "Hey, we made it" he said as he started feeling the awkwardness in the atmosphere. I mean what's going on with me? He's Parker for god's sake! "Yeah...um...Do you...want to grab some cream ice maybe later?" I said. Wait, did I just say cream ice? "Ice cream...Grab ice cream" I said hoping he didn't notice.

"Yeah that would be good" he grinned. I looked in his eyes, they had this grayish green color that complimented his face. It felt like we were looking at each other for hours but they were really mere minutes. He smiled as he looked in my eyes and then you know what happened...

I know losing your mother and your friend, being locked in a mental illness hospital and trapped in an alien world is technically hell, but it made me fall into something heavenly.
